The London Lions announced on Friday that London-born guard Luke Nelson will spend another year with the club. Born in London and raised in Worthing, England, Nelson (1.90 meters, 28 years old) made his EuroCup debut last season, starting in 12 of his 18 appearances and averaging 6.8 points, 3.3 assists and 1.3 rebounds while helping the Lions reach the eighthfinals.
A British national team point guard, Nelson has previously played professionally for BG Goettingen in Germany, Real Betis and Manresa in Spain and Le Portel in France. He also had a successful college basketball career at the University of California at Irvine, where he was the 2016-17 Big West Conference Player of the Year.
