The dynamic duo powered their team to victory over Reyer
Malachi Flynn, Trevion Williams shined as Bahcesehir stayed perfect

Malachi Flynn and Trevion Williams led the charge as Bahcesehir College Istanbul rolled to a 93–74 home victory over Umana Reyer Venice in Round 2 of the BKT EuroCup.
Flynn controlled the game with 16 points and 8 assists, dictating the tempo from start to finish, while Williams dominated the paint with a double-double of 16 points and 10 rebounds. The duo’s standout performances helped keep Bahcesehir unbeaten in the competition.
Williams maintained his dominance in the paint throughout the game, showing creativity on both ends of the floor. The backcourt kept feeding him through pick-and-roll actions, and his presence on the glass – both offensive and defensive – helped control the game’s flow. His strong third-quarter performance played a key role in extending the lead, as he finished with a PIR of 21.
Speaking after the game, Williams emphasized the importance of the win. ‘‘This probably is the way we play tonight,’’ he said. ‘‘I think we needed a win like this; every game that we won so far has been close. I know it’s the early in the season, but we definitely needed this.’’
Another key performer for Bahcesehir was Flynn. Posting a PIR of 20 and dishing out 8 assists, the 27-year-old – playing his first year in Europe – stood out due to his effective pick-and-roll connection with Williams. His quick first step and versatile skill set were especially evident in the second half. Beyond scoring, his composure and vision in transition kept the offense flowing.
Even though it is still early in the season, Bahcesehir has shown the kind of balance and chemistry that could make it one of the teams to watch in the EuroCup, something coach Marko Barac highlighted in the press conference: ‘‘We had some great hustle plays by our players, made some steals and gave an energy to our team that we were following to the end of the game.’’
In Round 3 of the EuroCup, Bahcesehir will look to keep up its unbeaten run against Veolia Hamburg Towers.
