The Brazilian will play outside of his country for the first time
Marcio Santos heads to Ulm

ratiopharm Ulm has completed the signing of Marcio Santos, the club announced on Wednesday.
Santos (2.06 meters, 21 years old) has so far spent his entire career with Franca in his native Brazil, averaging 12.9 points, 6.4 rebounds and 1.0 assist in 49 Brazilian League games in the 2023-24 campaign. He helped Franca secure its third straight Brazilian League crown last season.
In 2022-23, Santos was part of the Franca side that won the FIBA Intercontinental Cup and BCL Americas titles.
"The Brazilian market has become very important to us because our experiences with the players from South America have been consistently positive," said Thorsten Leibenath, Ulm's sporting director. "Marcio plays with high energy on both ends of the floor, uses his athleticism to his advantage and can also stretch the floor thanks to his impressive three-point shooting. Due to his young age and potential, he fits our profile perfectly."
Over the last few years, Ulm has used the Brazilian market to its advantage, signing Cristiano Felicio, Yago Dos Santos and Bruno Caboclo before adding Georginho de Paula to its roster last summer. Now, Santos will get to play alongside Georginho in the BKT EuroCup next season.
