Isiaha saved Mincidelice JL Bourg en Bresse with a last-second block to preserve a 6971 victory over Germani Brescia at Palaleonessa A2a on Tuesday night. The win improved Bourg’s record to 4-0 as the only undefeated team in the competition while Brescia fell to 2-2.

Jordan Floyd scored 22 points to lead the winners. Mike tallied 11 points, 9 rebounds and 2 blocks and James Palmer added 10 points. Amedeo Della Valle paced Brescia with 16 points and 5 assists, CJ Massinburg scored 14, Troy Caupain 12 and Tai Odiase 11.

Mike had a three-pointer and a block and Floyd scored 4 points in a 0-7 run that gave the visitors a 5-12 lead. Floyd had 12 points already in less than 8 minutes as the margin grew to 8, but Massinburg’s jumper in the lane made it 16-20 after 10 minutes. Free throws by Nicola Akele drew Brescia within 20-22 only to see Bourg pull away again. The pattern continued with Brescia coming close and Bourg pushing out again. The score was 34-39 at the break.
The pattern continued into the second half with a triple by James Palmer making it 37-46 and Brescia coming right back with the next 6 points. However, Frant Massenat and Alexandre Chassang each buried three-pointers in a 0-9 Bourg run to establish a double-digit lead and Pierre Pelos added a triple to take it to 45-58. David Cournooh’s layup trimmed the deficit to 47-58 through three quarters. A three by Caupain and a layup by Della Valle fueled new life into the game at 56-62 with 5 minutes remaining. A three by Massinburg and a free throw by Odiase gave the fans hop at 64-66 with 2 minutes to go. A basket by Palmer and free throws by Floyd put Bourg up by 6 in the last minute. A three by John Petrucelli with 6.7 seconds left and a missed Floyd free throw gave Brescia a final chance, but Mike blocked Odiase on the final play.
