Petrauskas will guide the team in its EuroCup return
Neptunas tabs Gediminas Petrauskas as its next head coach

Neptunas Klaipeda has appointed Gediminas Petrauskas as its next head coach. The sides agreed to a two-year contract with an option for a third season.
Petrauskas, 40, arrives from Nedainiu Nevezis-Optibet, which he coached for the last four seasons. He started his head coaching career at the early age of 24 with Naglis-Adakris Palangos. Petrauskas has also coached Kedainiai Triobet, Siauliai, Juventus Utenus and Pieno Zvaigzdes Pasvalys in Lithuania as well as Atomeromu in Hungary.
He led Siauliai to three consecutive Baltic League championships from 20214 to 2016, and has also coached the Lithuanian national team in all youth categories. He helped Lithuania win a silver medal at the 2015 U16 European Championship, as well as respective bronze medals at the 2017 U18 European Championships and the 2016 U17 World Cup. Petrauskas is set to make his BKT EuroCup debut with Neptunas next season.
