Prometey Slobozhanske enters the upcoming 7DAYS EuroCup eighthfinals as a group winner and on an 11-game winning streak. However, for this clash and the games that will potentially follow, Prometey will be without two important cogs in its well-oiled offense, team's playmakers D.J. Kennedy and Caleb Agada.

According to the club founder and president Volodymyr Dubinskiy, Kennedy is out for the season with an undisclosed injury that already forced him to miss regular-season finale. His condition requires a surgery, which he will undergo during the month of April.

Agada, who injured his leg midway through the second quarter of Prometey's Round 18 win over Umana Reyer Venice, will be out 4 to 6 weeks, according to Dubinskiy.

"In the best case, he will be ready for the final, which still has to be reached", Dubinskiy said for club's official website.

This could be a major blow for Prometey as Agada is team's leader in scoring (15.4 ppg.) and assists (3.9 apg.), ranks second in EuroCup in steals (2.2 spg.) and has also averaged 3.8 rebounds per game. Kennedy, who started in each of his 17 appearances, posted 10.7 points, 5.2 rebounds, 3.7 assists and 1.6 steals.

In the eighthfinals, Prometey will play host to Veolia Towers Hamburg.

If you're new to EuroCup Fantasy Challenge or want to know how the playoffs work, keep reading.

### CLASSIC MODE

Starting this season, the playoffs are seamlessly integrated into the entire contest. Unlike last season, you won't need to recreate your teams and leagues. Instead, your teams and leagues will remain the same. 

The only difference between now and the regular season is that you'll need to manage your team by trading players whose teams have been eliminated from the playoffs.

Of course, this also means that EuroCup Fantasy Challenge continues all the way until the end of the playoffs end with the EuroCup Final. So, if you want to beat your friends or other fantasy coaches, you need to keep playing until the very end!

Here are some important things to keep in mind:

\- You have unlimited trades for every round of the playoffs.

\- During the playoffs, you can choose up to six EuroCup players from the same team (compared to three in the regular season).

\- The EuroCup Playoffs have a single-game elimination format, so be sure to act fast to change your team if one of your players ends up on the losing side and is eliminated before the next phase.

### DRAFT MODE

The draft mode offers complete freedom to organize the remainder of the season as you see fit. You can keep the teams as they are, or you can hold new auctions with your friends before the playoffs start and after every round. The Draft Admin can always change the rosters via the Admin-Rosters section.

### Tkachenko shined on first start

Prometey Slobozhanske finished the regular season top of Group A after extending its winning streak to 11 games with a [93-76](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/eurocup/game-center/2022-23/prometey-slobozhanske-umana-reyer-venice/U2022/173/) win over Umana Reyer Venice. During the victory, forward [Ivan Tkachenko](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/eurocup/players/ivan-tkachenko/011943/) gave his team an unexpected boost. Tkachenko had never scored more than 6 points in a game before, and he had amassed a total of 27 points across 14 appearances this season, playing fewer than 10 minutes per night. But Tkachenko shined against Reyer with 13 points, hitting both of his two-point shots and all 3 of his three-point attempts. He also had a pair of rebounds in 24 minutes on the floor, while he also had a team-high +23 in the plus/minus column.

### Flaccadori flirted with triple-double

Dolomiti Energia Trento may have missed out on the 7DAYS EuroCup Playoffs, but the team was able to finish the regular season on a high note by beating Slask Wroclaw [72-61](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/eurocup/game-center/2022-23/dolomiti-energia-trento-slask-wroclaw/U2022/178/). [Diego Flaccadori](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/eurocup/players/diego-flaccadori/005670/) was everywhere on the night, coming ever so close to a triple-double with 10 points, 11 assists and 9 rebounds. Prior to Round 18, Flaccadori had never recorded more than 7 rebounds or assists in a single EuroCup game, but on Wednesday night, he was on verge of making history. He had 9 rebounds with 6:50 to go in the game, at which point he was also sitting on 7 assists. He then went on to fuel Trento's key 11-0 fourth-quarter run, dishing 4 assists in the process, but he failed to pull down 1 more rebound. He may have missed out on a triple-double, but seven days shy of his 27th birthday, Flaccadori enjoyed the best all-round performance of his career to date.

### Lazic had a career night in Ankara

Buducnost VOLI Podgorica knew that it was going to finish sixth in Group B, regardless of its result on the road at Turk Telekom Ankara in Round 18, yet the visitors still gave the hosts a run for their money en route to a narrow [77-72](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/eurocup/game-center/2022-23/turk-telekom-ankara-buducnost-voli-podgorica/U2022/176/) defeat. Forward [Aleksandar Lazic](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/eurocup/players/aleksandar-lazic/004573/) was Buducnost's best player on the night. In 20 minutes on the floor, he scored in double figures for the first time in his career, finishing with 16 points, in addition to recording 3 rebounds, 1 assist and 1 steal. Lazic made 4-of-5 two-point shots and went 2-of-3 on threes. His PIR of 17 was also his career high, however it was not enough for Buducnost to cause an upset in the Turkish capital.

### Zubcic turned back the clock in Paris

The London Lions ended the regular season on a high note by beating Paris Basketball [85-96](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/eurocup/game-center/2022-23/paris-basketball-london-lions/U2022/180/) on the road, and one player who was key in the victory was [Tomislav Zubcic](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/eurocup/players/tomislav-zubcic/ljp/). The 33-year-old big man scored 24 points, his joint highest output in 2022-23, after hitting a season-high 5 three-pointers and finishing with a PIR of 26, which matched his season-best mark. With Sam Dekker and Kosta Koufos unavailable, Zubcic rolled back the years and stepped up to give London a welcome boost heading into the playoffs.

### Ginat enjoyed an almost perfect night

[Tomer Ginat](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/eurocup/players/tomer-ginat/010550/) may not have earned the same number of headlines as his Hapoel Vegan Friendly Tel Aviv teammates, but the power forward put in an almost perfect display in his side's dominant [108-69](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/eurocup/game-center/2022-23/hapoel-vegan-friendly-tel-aviv-promitheas-patras/U2022/179/) triumph against Promitheas Patras. In addition to scoring 18 points, having gone 8-of-9 on two-pointers, he also brought down 6 rebounds, made 2 steals and had 0 turnovers. His teammate, Jaylen Hoard, earned Round 18 MVP honors after shining off the bench, but Ginat's performance was an important factor behind such a comfortable win for Hapoel.

### Auguste worked his magic in the shadows

In Frutti Extra Bursaspor's [86-76](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/eurocup/game-center/2022-23/frutti-extra-bursaspor-germani-brescia/U2022/175/) win against Germani Brescia, one player who may have gone under the radar on the stats sheet - [Zach Auguste](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/eurocup/players/zach-auguste/007948/). Despite finishing scoreless, missing all 5 of his field goal attempts and both free throws, Auguste made his impact felt in other ways, grabbing 11 rebounds, dishing a new career-high 5 assists, making 1 steal and blocking 2 shots. And Auguste has done so by playing a career-high 34:29 minutes. It was one of the more curious stat lines from this season, but the Bursaspor big man won't mind too much as his team closed the regular season on a high.

Hoard's personal-best 34 PIR in a 108-69 victory against Promitheas Patras topped all EuroCup performers in Round 18, and it gave his Hapoel side an extra boost of confidence heading into the upcoming do-or-die eighthfinals. Hoard also set season highs for points and rebounds. He scored 23 points after going 10-for-14 on two-pointers and 3-for-3 on free throws, in addition to bringing down 11 boards for his first-ever EuroCup double-double.

He scored 28 points on 12-for-14 two-point shooting with 9 rebounds and 2 blocks, but it came in a losing effort against Mincidelice JL Bourg en Bresse. [Tyrone Wallace](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/eurocup/players/tyrone-wallace/011925/) of Paris Basketball had a 32 PIR in his team's 85-96 home defeat against the London Lions. Wallace finished with 22 points, making 7-of-9 shots from the field, while he also dished 6 assists. His teammate [Ismael Kamagate](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/eurocup/players/ismael-kamagate/011926/), as well as [C.J. Massinburg](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/eurocup/players/cj-massinburg/011821/) of Germani Brescia, each had a PIR of 27, rounding out the list of Round 18's top performers. The day after the end of the 7DAYS EuroCup regular season in which Joventut Badalona ended second in Group A, the club confirmed a contract extension with veteran guard Guillem Vives until the end of the 2025-26 season. Vives (1.92 meters, 30 years old) is currently in his second stint at Joventut -the club he grew up in- as a pro player. This season he averages 4.9 points, 2.3 rebounds, 3.8 assists and 1.0 steals in 17 EuroCup games off the bench.

Vives (1.92 meters, 30 years old) is currently in his second stint at Joventut, the club he came through at as a youngster. Vives played for Joventut at youth level and made his debut with the first team during the 2012-13 season. The following campaign, he won the award for the best young player in the Spanish League, which resulted in Valencia Basket signing him. In his time there, he won a EuroCup title in 2019, a Spanish League title and a Spanish Super Cup. He also played a total 78 Turkish Airlines EuroLeague games with Valencia, averaging 4.7 points, 1.5 rebounds and 2.6 assists. In 2021, Vives returned to Joventut and, with this contract extension, it looks like he will retire there. "I am very happy about staying here because of the trust that the club has shown towards me," Vives said. "Since I came back, I've felt at home and I experienced again what it is to play with the colors of the club you love. Here, you feel something extra that cannot be explained." Joventut will now face the London Lions in the eighthfinals of the EuroCup in a couple of weeks' time.

Guillem Vives extends Joventut contract until 2026

Antreas Apostolakos stays atop the overall standings. His team Andy cup1 is ahead of everyone else with 3,120.75 fantasy points.

Trades are now open for the eighthfinals. From now on, unlimited trades are allowed before each round until the end of the season, and as always, you can also trade your head coach.

The first eighthfinals game, yet to be determined, is scheduled to tip off on Tuesday, April 11, and thus marks the next round's deadline.

Turk Telekom Ankara had to wait until the final minute of celebrating a 77-72 home win against Buducnost VOLI Podgorica in Round 18, which allowed it to finish second in Group B.

Blocked shots and stopping one of Buducnost's main players, allowed Turk Telekom to get this important win. Turk Telekom finished the game with 5 blocks. Alpha Kaba, who has averaged a double-double this season (10.1 ppg., 10.5 rpg.), was held scoreless against Turk Telekom and grabbed a season-low 3 rebounds. Kaba had at least 6 rebounds in each EuroCup game until this game. He amassed a career-low PIR of -4.

Turk Telekom shot the ball much better inside the arc, making up for its 17 turnovers and poor free-throw shooting (57.9%). The hosts made 21 of 29 two-pointers, and its percentage (72.4% 2FG) was the club's season-high. It previously made 72.2% of its two-pointers in Round 11 against Veolia Hamburg Towers. Buducnost struggled inside the arc, burying just 20 of 44 two-point shots (45.5% 2FG), which helped Turk Telekom get the victory.
