Shashkov (2.11 meters, 23 years old) arrives from Ilirija Ljubljana of Slovenia, where he averaged 14.1 points, 7.2 rebounds and 1.4 assists in 21 Slovenian League games. He made his debut with Helios Domzale of Slovenia in 2015 and played there until 2019. That summer, he moved to Russia as he joined CSKA Moscow and played in the second team. He continued in Russia for 2021-22 with Nizhny Novgorod, but returned to Slovenia in 2022-23.

"Alexander Shashkov is a relatively young player who shows a lot of promise and has the potential to jump to a higher level." Olimpija Sports director Vlado Ilievski siad. "He grew up in Domzale and is a local player, very talented, but he had a lot of bad luck with injuries in his career. Last season he was able to show a little bit of his potential for Ilirija, he had a very good season, and moving to Cedevita Olimpija is the best possible move for him and he will definitely do his best with the rest of his teammates."

Aris Thessaloniki reached an agreement with head coach Ioannis Kastritis to remain together for two more years, until the end of the 2024-25 season, the club announced Thursday.

Kastritis, 41, joined Aris in 2021, replacing Savvas Kamperidis. Last season, he helped Aris reach the Greek League playoffs for the second consecutive season after a three-year absence.

It his second stint with Aris; he previously coached the club from December 2018 until the end of the 2018-19 campaign. Kastritis started his coaching career with SEFA Arkadikos of his native Greece and has also coached GS Kymis and Iraklis Thessaloniki of Greece, as well as Hapoel Tel Aviv of Israel. He has also coached the Greek U19 and U20 national squads.

Euroleague Basketball announced on June 15 that Dejan Bodiroga will remain as Euroleague Basketball President while Paulius Motiejunas will be the new acting Chief Executive Officer for the 2023-24 season.

Euroleague Basketball announced on June 15 that Dejan Bodiroga will remain as Euroleague Basketball President while Paulius Motiejunas will be the new acting Chief Executive Officer for the 2023-24 season.

Dejan Bodiroga, who was appointed Euroleague Basketball President on September 14, 2022, will continue to focus on increasing the quality of the competition for clubs, players, fans, partners and all EB stakeholder while playing a key role in strengthening relationships with the wider basketball community, including the EuroLeague Players Association, the EuroLeague Head Coaches Board, the Union of Euroleague Basketball Officials, FIBA, domestic leagues and other basketball-related institutions.

Motiejunas, 42, was unanimously appointed by Euroleague Basketball shareholders and will replace Marshall Glickman, who was acting CEO during the 2022-23 season.

Motiejunas has extensive experience within the Euroleague Basketball ecosystem, having spent most of his career to date in various capacities with Euroleague Basketball shareholder Zalgiris Kaunas. He started with Zalgiris in 2007 as the director of communications, later became general manager, and has been the club president and owner since 2013. He is also the director of Zalgirio Arena.

Under Motiejunas's management, Zalgiris has experienced some of its most successful moments on the court by qualifying multiple times to the EuroLeague Playoffs and reaching the Final Four for the first time this century in 2018. Zalgiris has thrived by developing some of Lithuania's top young prospects and combining them with a mix of the country's best and most experienced players and foreign talents looking to take their careers to the next level.

Off the court, too, Motiejunas brought the club to a new level, positioning Zalgiris among the EuroLeague leaders in ticket sales and revenue growth while boasting a legendary game-day experience at one of the finest arenas on the continent.

Paulius was recognized by his peers with the EuroLeague Executive of the Year award over two consecutive seasons, 2017-18 and 2018-19.

Aris Thessaloniki reached a new agreement with athletic power forward Ismael Sanogo to keep working together next season.

Aris Thessaloniki kept a familiar face in its roster, versatile forward Ismael Sanogo, who re-signed for one more season on Wednesday. Sanogo (2.03 meters, 26 years old) averaged 5.7 points, 5.1 rebounds and 0.6 blocks in less than 20 minutes per night in 18 Greek League games last season, helping his team reach the playoffs.

Sanogo started his professional basketball career with Long Island of the G League and also played for Italian side Vanoli Basket Cremona before joining Aris last season. Before that, Sanogo helped Seton Hall University win the Big East tournament in 2016. He has also been a member of the Ivory Coast national team. Sanogo is set to make his EuroCup debut with Aris next season.

Omenaka (22 years old, 2.06 meters) arrives from Kormend, having averaged 9.2 points, 6.8 rebounds and 1.0 blocks per night in the Hungarian League last season. He made his internaional debut for Nigeria's senior side in August 2022, too. As Bourg explains in its statement, Omenaka will act as the understudy to fellow center Kevin Kokila in the team's rotation. He has never played in the 7DAYS EuroCup before.

Brooks (34 years old, 2.03 meters) averaged 4.8 points, 3.4 rebounds and a 7.0 PIR across 17 appearances in the 7DAYS EuroCup last season. Of those 17 games, he started twice. Brooks's first campaign with Reyer, 2021-22, saw him average 6.2 points, 4.1 rebounds, 1.0 assists and an 8.1 PIR in 19 fixtures. In addition to his 36 appearances for Reyer in the EuroCup, the veteran played 13 games for BC Avtodor of Russia in 2015-16 and 22 for Unicaja Malaga of Spain in 2016-17. In 2017, he became a EuroCup champion with Unicaja. Brooks has also appeared in 124 contests in the Turkish Airlines, having suited up for Cantu (2012-13), Dinamo Sassari (2014-15) and EA7 Emporio Armani Milan (2018-21) of Italy, in addition to Unicaja (2017-18).

Floyd has also played for Promitheas Patras and Panathinaikos Athens of Greece, Hapoel Galil Gilboa of Israel and Fenerbahce Beko Istanbul of Turkey. He helped Fenerbahce win the Turkish League title in 2022. Floyd had a brief experience in the 7DAYS EuroCup, playing 104 seconds for Promitheas against Gran Canaria in the 2020-21 campaign. The following season, 2021-22, he played 24 games in the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague: 10 for Panathinaikos and 14 for Fenerbahce.
