### Montenegro: Buducnost a win away from title

Buducnost VOLI Podgorica took a 2-1 lead in the best-of-five Montenegrin finals series after holding off Mornar Bar 88-78 in Game 3 on Friday. Two teams traded blows throughout the game, but Buducnost took the lead for good with an 11-0 run, started with a three-point from Igor Drobnjak and ended with a triple from Suad Sehovic, before another three from Sehovic extended the lead to 64-51. After Mornar rallied with a 0-11 run of its own, Filip Barovic scored 7 points in a 9-0 spurt bridging the third and fourth quarters to make it 75-64. Mornar once again for within 77-74, but Marko Jagodic Kuridza hit a triple before Donatas Tarolis scored 8 consecutive points to finish the job. Justin Cobbs led Buducnost with 17 points. Drobnjak had 13, Taroli and Barovic 12 apiece, and Sehovic scored 10 in a victory.

### Adriatic League: Partizan stymies Zvezda to force Game 5

Partizan NIS Belgrade used a monster first half to thrash Crvena Zvezda mts Belgrade 112-84 to force a deciding Game 5 of the Adriatic League finals. Zvezda had a better start and Austin Hollins netted 4 triples on as many attempts in less than 5 minutes of the game as Zvezda opened with a 14-22 lead. But after coach Zeljko Obradovic sent Aleksa Avramovic, Mathias Lessort and Yam Madar on the court, things completely changed. Partizan went on a 37-8 spurt during which the trio combined for 29 points, as Lessort scored 15 points and Avramovic had 9 points and 5 assists. Partizan led by as many as 27 points in the second quarter, held 68-43 at halftime, then broke a 30-point barrier in the third quarter as Partizan eased to win. Avramovic finished with 24 points, Lessort had 1, Madar scored 12, while Alen Smailagic and Dallas Moored scored 11 apiece in a victory. Hollins finished with 19 points, Ognjen Dobric scored 16 and Stefan Markovic had 11 in a loss.

### Spain: Barcelona downs Joventut in semis opener

FC Barcelona had a perfect start to the best-of-five Spanish League semifinals with 89-72 win over Joventut Badalona on Friday. Barcelona took control of the game in the second quarter with Sertac Sanli knocking down a pair of triples, and Alex Abrines also knocked down a pair as Barcelona built a 40-31 lead. Joventut did not manage to keep up in the third quarter, despite Joel Parra hitting two triples, but Brandon Davies and Nikola Mirotic helped the hosts to a 69-48 lead after 30 minutes, as Barcelona cruised the rest of the way. Sanli finished with 16 points and 8 rebounds in 18 minutes, and Davies scored 13 points. Mirotic scored 11 in a victory. Pau Ribas and Derek Willis scored 11 apiece for Joventut, and Ante Tomic had 10 points plus 7 rebounds in a loss.

Partizan NIS Belgrade used a monster first half to thrash Crvena Zvezda mts Belgrade and force a deciding Game 5 of the Adriatic League finals, while Buducnost VOLI Podgorica took a 2-1 lead in the Montenegrin finals.

Mam Jaiteh will never forget the 2021-22 season, in which he led Virtus Segafredo Bologna to its first 7DAYS EuroCup title as the competition's MVP! 

Tribute to the Champs: Mam Jaiteh

[Mam Jaiteh](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/eurocup/players/mam-jaiteh/002581/) will never forget the 2021-22 season, in which he led Virtus Segafredo Bologna to its first 7DAYS EuroCup title as the competition's MVP! 

When Jaiteh first arrived in Bologna, the club had him penciled in for a different role but Ekpe Udoh's season-ending injury led to him seeing more playing time and that brought out his best basketball. Jaiteh averaged 12.8 points on 69.1% two-point shooting plus 7.6 rebounds in 22 minutes per game. His average performance index rating of 17.8 was the fifth-best in the competition. Jaiteh was Virtus's top scorer and rebounder, while his two-point shooting and rebounding ranked eighth and third, respectively, among all EuroCup players for the season. He was second in the competition in PIR on a per-minute basis, averaging 32.2 prorated over 40 minutes.

He delivered in the most important games, too. Jaiteh made 9 of 10 shots for 20 points and a PIR of 18 in an eighthfinals victory over Lietkabelis Panevezys. Next, he exploded for 27 points on 12-for-16 shooting and 11 rebounds in recording a PIR of 38 to beat ratiophram Ulm in the quarterfinals. It was the highest PIR in a quarterfinals game since 2014. Despite being slowed down by foul trouble, Jaiteh still helped his team in the semifinals against Valencia Basket with 6 points, 6 rebounds and 1 block. 

Then in the championship game against Frutti Extra Bursaspor, Jaiteh led all rebounders with 10 boards to help Virtus outrebound Bursaspor 44-30, in what was one of the biggest keys to the game. Jaiteh added 13 points for a double-double, his fifth this season. Virtus was able to celebrate the EuroCup title in front of its fans and everyone in Bologna understands that it would not have been possible without Jaiteh's outstanding performances at both ends of the floor, all season long!

Bourg lands Floyd, Kokila

Floyd (1.88 meters, 25 years old) arrives from Kolossos Rhodes of the Greek League, where last season he averaged 14.6 points and 2.5 assists per game. He played college basketball in Albany State University for one season and then for King University from 2016 to 2020. Floyd made his professional debut in Italy with Orlandina in the second division and, after a strong season there, moved to Greece to join Kolossos. Floyd will make his EuroCup debut this season.

Kokila (2.04 meters, 20 years old) grew up in the LDLC ASVEL Villeurbanne youth program and left the club in 2021. Last season he played for Lyonso of the French second division, with which he reached the eighthfinals in the playoffs. Kokila averaged 9.8 points and 5.6 rebounds in 34 games. Kokila, who has signed a three-year deal with Bourg, will also make his EuroCup debut this season.

Big Amedeo Tessitori provided Virtus Segafredo Bologna with plenty of energy and offensive punch off the bench as he played a key role throughout the regular season en route to the 7DAYS EuroCup crown.

Big [Amedeo Tessitori](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/eurocup/players/amedeo-tessitori/003759/) provided Virtus Segafredo Bologna with plenty of energy and offensive punch off the bench as he played a key role throughout the regular season en route to the 7DAYS EuroCup crown.

Tessitori filled his role to perfection in his second season with the club. Coming off the bench in all 18 appearances this season, the big man could always be relied on to play tough on defense and be effective on offense with great energy at both ends. He averaged 5.4 points on excellent shooting (64.6% 2FG, 57.1% 3FG) and 3.3 rebounds in less than 12 minutes per game.

On a per-minute basis, Tessitori ranked 11th in the competition in rebounding with an average of 10.9 prorated over 40 minutes. The only Virtus player with a higher average was EuroCup MVP Mam Jaiteh, who led the EuroCup at 13.8. Tessitori also ranked sixth on a per-minute basis in offensive rebounds (4.7 per 40 minutes) and 25th in two-point shots made (6.4 per 40 minutes). 

Tessitori started the season with a bang, posting a season-high PIR of 20 on opening night against Frutti Extra Bursaspor with 11 points and 6 rebounds. He went for 13 points in Round 3 against Buducnost VOLI Podgorica and 14 in Round 11 against ratiopharm Ulm. Even though his playing time was limited in the elimination rounds, Tessitori was called on for the final 42 seconds of the championship game against Bursaspor and received a warm ovation as he finished the EuroCup season on the court as a champion - a reward for his hard work all season.

### Serbia: Partizan wins Game 3, stays alive

Partizan NIS Belgrade saved the first match ball in the ABA League Finals as it managed to defeat Crvena Zvezda mts Belgrade, 70-67 in Game 3 of the series. The series is now 2-1 still in favor of Zvezda. Kevin Punter led the winners with 22 points and hit a three in the final minute that would be crucial for Partizan's options. Aleksa Avramovic helped with 14 points. For Zvezda, Ognjen Dobric had 20 points and Dejan Davidovac, 19.

The trio of Dallas Moore, Zach LeDay and Punter scored the first 19 Partizan points in the first quarter, while Kalinic and Davidovac combined to keep the guests in the game, 21-17 after 10. In the second quarter, Partizan played more collective and managed to increase the lead despite Zvezda's Ognjen Dobric, who was leading the charge of the guests in offense. At the break, Partizan was in charge, 39-31.

At the start of the second half, Zvezda turned things around completely, taking the game by storm with a 8-23 partial in the third period, including a 0-7 run to cap the quarter and end in the lead, 47-54, thanks mainly to Dobric. The hosts re-gained some control of the situation and the game entered the last 3 minutes with a 63-61 Partizan lead. With 57 seconds to go, Punter hit a three that made it 68-65 as the referees had to stop the game because of objects thrown to the floor. When the game resumed, Yav Madar went to the line and hit to free throws for 70-65 that put enough distance for Partizan to survive.

### Lithuania: Lietkabelis falls to Rytas in third game

Domestic action started on Wednesday with the third game in the Lithuanian League best-of-seven final series between Rytas Vilnius and Lietkabelis Panevezys. When the dust settled, Rytas had managed to jump ahead 2-1 thanks to a 82-55 win. A 22-9 opening allowed the hosts to play comfortably the second quarter, in which the score difference was increased to 51-27. 

The second half saw Lietkabelis try to react but when the last period starter it was clear that Rytas had it under control and both teams were already thinking about Game 4. Djordje Gagic was the only player to score in double digits for Lietkabelis with 13 points. For Rytas, Gytis Radzevicius led the winning effort with his 14 points.

### Greece: Patras falls to 0-2 in semis

Olympiacos Piraeus thrashed Promitheas Patras once more in the Greek League semifinals on Wednesday with a 72-102 road win to make it 2-0 in the series. Game 3 will be played next Saturday and if the Reds win, they will advance to the finals. All-EuroLeague First Team selection Sasha Vezenkov led the Reds with 20 points and 10 rebounds, while Hassan Martin also added 17 more points. All players in Olympiacos played at least 6 minutes and scored 3 points in the game. For Patras, Marcus Foster led the losing effort with 19 points and Dimitris Agravanis added 10.

Early foul trouble sent Moustapha Fall to the bench, but Martin filled in for him with no problems. Patras managed to take the edge in the first quarter however, and pulled within 18-20 after 10. In the second period, the guests rolled to 31-46 thanks to the efficiency of Quincy Acy. Good defense and ball circulation allowed Olympiacos to keep rolling in the third quarter and the score difference increased to 35 points in minute 37, 63-98. The Reds put the game on ice thinking about the decisive game next Saturday.

In the summer of 2020, sharpshooter [Marco Belinelli](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/eurocup/players/marco-belinelli/bcn/) returned to the club where he started his professional journey to help it bring it back to glory and two years later he can call himself a 7DAYS EuroCup champion.

Arguably the most dangerous shooter in the competition, Belinelli delivered buckets throughout the season and, as expected, played a vital role in Virtus Segafredo Bologna winning the EuroCup crown. Belinelli averaged 11.7 points per game this season despite playing just 19:22 minutes on average, mostly off the bench and never reaching 28 minutes in any of the 16 games he played. He knocked down 39.0% of his three-point attempts this season while also posting 2.6 assists.

Belinelli scored in double figures in 10 of his 12 regular-season appearances and then again in the semifinal road win over Valencia Basket when he was the team's second-best scorer with 14 points. In the EuroCup Finals against Frutti Extra Bursaspor, he finished with 12 points. However, the veteran shooter contributed a lot more than just his scoring.

 

Belinelli is not often associated with providing teams with a defensive spark, but the 36-year-old did just that in the elimination rounds, the most important games of the season. After collecting just 2 steals during the regular season, Belinelli came up with a strong defensive effort in the postseason with a total of 8 steals in four games, including a team-high 3 steals in the semifinal, followed by a pair of steals in the final, deservingly earning the title of EuroCup champion.

Cedevita Olimpija Ljubljana is the Slovenian League champion! Cedevita swept its best-of-five finals series against Helios Suns and successfully defended the Slovenian crown.

### Slovenia: Cedevita wins the title!

Cedevita lifted the Slovenian League trophy by beating Helios Suns 81-101 in Game 3 of the best-of-five finals in Domzale on Tuesday. Cedevita swept the series and claimed its 19th Slovenian League crown - the club's second since Cedevita Zagreb and Olimpija Ljubljana merged. Yogi Ferrell led the winners with 20 points. Zoran Dragic added 18, Jaka Blazic had 16, Alen Omic got 16 and 14 rebounds, Jacob Pullen scored 13 rebounds and Edo Muric pulled down 11 boards for Cedevita, which outrebounded Helios by 31-54.

Dragic and Blazic combined for 17 first-quarter points and Pullen buried a three-pointer to fix the score at 13-27 after 10 minutes. Pullen kept pacing Cedevita and Luka Scuka dunked to make it a 21-point game, 17-38. Cedevita kept a 36-56 margin at halftime and boosted it to 54-77 late in the third quarter. Nothing changed until the final buzzer, as Helios only rallied once the outcome was clear and all Cedevita fans had plenty of time to celebrate that their team had successfully defended the Slovenian League title! 

### Italy: Virtus returns to finals!

Virtus Segafredo Bologna advanced to the Italian League finals by downing Bertram Derthona Basket Tortona 69-77 on the road in Game 3 of their best-of-five semifinals series on Tuesday. Virtus swept the series and will have the home-court advantage in the finals. Mam Jaiteh led the winners with 17 points and 9 rebounds. Milos Teodosic added 15 points while Toko Shengelia had 14 for Virtus, which led from start to finish.

Jaiteh and Shengelia combined for all points in an 1-13 opening run which allowed Virtus to keep a 13-18 edge at the end of the first quarter. Marco Belinelli buried back-to-back three-pointers, then Isaia Cordinier and Teodosic each hit one from beyond the arc to break the game open, 25-41. Tortona got a bit closer, 33-47, at halftime. Virtus kept a double-digit margin throughout the third quarter and led 51-62 after 30 minutes. Tortona used an 8-0 run to get within 59-65 midway through the fourth quarter. Daniel Hackett and Jaiteh stepped up in crunch time, and Teodosic sank a three-pointer to seal the outcome and make Virtus punch its ticket to the semifinals. 

Cedevita Olimpija Ljubljana is the Slovenian League champion! Cedevita swept its best-of-five finals series against Helios Suns and successfully defended the Slovenian crown. Virtus Segafredo Bologna advanced to the Italian League finals.
