Promitheas took the lead for good in the third quarter behind Trevis Simpson and found a way to stay in front every time Bourg rallied. Kendrick Ray and Dario Hunt scored 18 points apiece in a victory. Dimitris Agravanis collected 17 points and 8 rebounds, and Simpson finished with 17 on 5-for-6 three-point shooting. Nikolaos Gkikas dished 10 assists. JaCorey Williams shined for Bourg with 25 points on 12-for-18 two-point shooting, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Rasheed Sulaimon scored 15, and Hugo Benitez had 10 points in a defeat. Bourg dropped to 4-8 on the season, but holds the tiebreak advantage in their head-to-head games due to a 30-point win in their Round 3 contest.

Ray opened the game with a runner and a corner triple before a big dunk from Jerai Grant made it 9-2. After Maxime Courby and Agravanis traded triples, Alexandre Chassang scored from long range and close range to tie it at 12-12. A bucket from Rasheed Sulaimon put the visitors ahead, 14-15, but Simpson hit a corner three and Hunt dunked to give the hosts a 22-19 edge at the end of the first quarter.

Early in the second quarter, Sulaiman made a three-point play to put Bourg back in front, 22-24, but a pair of close-range baskets by Hunt restored the hosts' lead. Simpson nailed another triple and Hunt made it 31-24. Benitez snapped a 9-0 run by banking in a short jumper and Williams scored twice inside for the visitors, but a pair of three-pointers from Nikolaos Rogkavopoulos helped Promitheas take a 39-34 lead into halftime.

Bourg opened the second half with a 2-8 run, fueled by a three-point play from Jalen Jones and capped with a triple from Axel Julien for 41-42. Grant had another dunk for the hosts, as the teams kept trading leads before Simpson hit back-to-back threes. After a three-point play from Williams, close-range baskets from Hunt and Sulaimon made it 60-55 going into the fourth quarter.

 

Baskets from Simpson and Hunt opened a 64-55 margin early in the fourth, but Williams from close range and Julien from long range cut it to 64-60. Hunt traded close-range buckets with Williams and Chassang before a triple from Ray made it 71-64. Williams scored twice more inside to keep Bourg in touching distance, but Agravanis made a runner and Simpson knocked down his fifth triple for a 76-68 lead with 2:15 to go. Sulaimon had a basket-plus-foul, but Agravanis nailed another three-pointer and Promitheas was on its way to victory.

Promitheas Patras made 12 three-point shots in snapping its five-game losing streak, holding off Mincidelice JL Bourg en Bresse 84-77 on Wednesday night. Promitheas improved to 3-8 in Group B.

Andorra got 23 points from Drew Crawford and 15 from Codi Miller-McIntyre, who also dished 8 assists. But despite leading by a high of 25-9 early in the second quarter, the hosts could not stop Brown, the spark who lit Hamburg's rally from that point forward. 

Seth Hinrichs started the scoring with a corner triple for Hamburg but Oriol Pauli's basket and a fastbreak dunk by Victor Arteaga put Andorra in front. The hosts stayed there as Pauli and Crawford buried threes to make it 11-3. Nacho Llovet, from deep, made it a double-digit difference, 15-3.  Kotsar ended Hamburg's drought with a put-back and another basket but the hosts still held a 19-7 lead after 10 minutes.

Kotsar struck first in the second quarter, too, before Miller-McIntyre and Moussa Diagne raised Andorra's lead to 25-9 from downtown. But Brown and Lukas Meisner matched them and when Kotsar scored inside on either side of a timeout, it was suddenly 25-19. Brown strung together free throws and another triple to make it 25-24, which is when Miller-McIntyre returned with his own three-pointer and coast-to-coast layup to calm Andorra at 30-24. Brown fed Kotsar around another pair of triples and suddenly Hamburg was up, 30-32. Crawford flipped the scoreboard from deep but Brown hit another. Crawford's back-door layup tied it 35-35, but Brown was fouled on his next shot and hit 2 of 3 free throws to give Hamburg a 35-37 halftime edge.

Di Leo's 4 early points after the break kept Hamburg strong before Miller-McIntyre and Brown traded baskets and then Diagne converted an and-one layup at 43-44. Pauli flipped the lead but Meisner took it back from deep and Brown's sixth three-pointer soon made it 47-50. Crawford came alive for 5 points and a new Andorra league, 53-52. Mario Nakic and Arteaga kept the hosts going to 57-54. As Hamburg kept approaching, Nakic and Guillem Colom protected the lead, but Hinrichs nailed a triple out of a timeout before the buzzer to leave a 62-61 scoreboard after 30 minutes. 

Kotsar scored inside, Brown hit his seventh triple and stole to feed Di Leo as Hamburg took charge again, 62-68, early in the fourth. Christen and Kotsar lengthened the difference to 64-71 before Crawford struck from downtown for Andorra. Brown hit unsportsmanlike foul shots after which Kotsar scored again at 67-75. DiLeo hit a huge triple with just under 4 minutes left that Nakic and Crawford copied for Andorra at 73-69. Hinrichs downed a jumper to which Kotsar added a free throw at 73-82, ensuring that this victory was going back to Hamburg.

Roaring back from double-digit early deficits, Hamburg Towers pulled off a 78-85 road win on the court of MoraBanc Andorra on Wednesday to make the Group A standings even tighter. Hamburg improved to 5-7, three wins clear in the final playoffs spot, while Andorra dropped to 6-5 along with at least two other six-win teams. Jaylon Brown fueled the comeback with 32 points on 7-for-9 three-point shooting to lead the winners. Maik Kotsar did the inside job with 20 points and 8 rebounds, while Max Di Leo added 13.

Hamburg mounts huge comeback to win in Andorra

Kodi Justice and Ivan Ramljak added 12 points each for the winners while Aleksader Dziewa scored 11. Turk Telekom got 17 points from Anthony Clemmons, 13 from Alex Perez and 12 from JaJuan Johnson, but the visitors never led and played from behind the whole game.

Martin Meiers got the hosts going with a pair of jumpers to which Justice added another and Ramljak free throws for a quick 8-2 advantage for Slask. Justice dialled it up from deeper for back-to-back threes as the difference ballooned to 14-5. Trice took over then with 2 baskets and as many free throws to make it 22-5. Johnson tried to calm Turk Telekom with a couple of baskets but Slask was still able to boast a commanding 26-11 lead after 10 minutes.

Johnson kept it going into the second quarter as points got scarce for Slask and Clemmons helped him cut the difference to 28-15. After an exchange of free throws, Clemmons struck from the corner for a 30-22 scoreboard and a Slask timeout. That steadied the hosts who pulled away with the help of Dziewa and Trice to 13-point lead before Turk Telekom's Perez beat the halftime buzzer for 3 points to get the difference down to 42-32.

Dziewa's early triple after the break sustained Slask's double-digit lead and Ramljak's twisting inside basket made it 49-36. Perez responded for Turk Telekom with back-to-back triples and Clemmons add 3 more points separately to cut the difference to 51-46. Justice and Tomczk Szymon steadied Slask and the latter joined Trice for the last two baskets of the third quarter that Slask finished ahead by 59-50. 

Clemmons strung together 5 early fourth-quarter points to keep Turk Telekom within 61-55. Kanter came up with a big put-back then, but Octavious Ellis matched him. Trice and Ellis traded baskets before Kanter scored again inside at 67-59. Dziewa's back-to-back blocks, free throw and three-point play boosted Slask to a 71-59 lead with 4 minutes left. Two steals by Jakub Karolak led to a fastbreak layup by Ramljak, and when Dziewa got to the line to make it 77-59, it was clear that Slask had its second win of the season.

Slask Wroclaw ignored the Group A standings and gave its fans a commanding 80-67 victory over visiting Turk Telekom on Wednesday. The win lifted Slask's record to 2-9 while Turk Telekom fell to 6-6, adding more intrigue to the Group A standings. Travis Trice led five double-digit Slask scorers with 20 points. Kerem Kanter followed with a 13-point, 11-rebound double-double.

Lietkabelis took control of the game for good with a 17-3 third-quarter run. Dovydas Giedraitis chipped in 17 points and Kaspars Berzins added 13 points. Trento lost its seventh straight game to fall to 1-11 despite Johnathan Williams pairing 15 points with 10 rebounds. Cameron Reynolds added 10 points and 7 rebounds in defeat.

Giedraitis scored the first basket of the game and Kristupas Zemaitis’s free throws made it 4-0. Trento needed more than 2 minutes to get on the board through Williams before Saunders evened the score. The hosts came up with a run of 10 straight points - 5 of them from Orelik - for a 16-6 advantage. Reynolds ended the drought with a three-pointer only to see Berzins hit a triple and Lietkabelis led 21-11 after 10 minutes.

Orelik started the scoring in the second quarter with a three-pointer as the advantage grew to 24-11. Lietkabelis went ice-cold and Trento punched back with a 0-14 run with three-pointers from Jordan Caroline and Reynolds and a four-point play from Andrea Mazzanotte to go ahead 24-25. Berzins finally scored from long range to get Lietkabelis back ahead and Giedraitis and Berzins both added three-pointers as Lietkabelis pulled away 35-29. The score was 37-32 at the break.

Lietkabelis started the second half with a Gagic three-point play and Zemaitis triple and the advantage was double figures again 43-32. Williams tried to keep Trento close with three scores, but Orelik converted a three-point play to start a 17-3 surge which included Panagiotis Kalaitzakis draining a triple and 3 free throws as the cushion swelled to 60-39. Desonta Bradford finished the third quarter with a four-point play to make it 60-43 after 30 minutes.

 

Lietkabelis struck first in the final frame with an Orelik triple to lead 63-43. Caroline scored 4 points in a 0-6 spurt to get within 63-49. But Orelik connected once again from deep and Giedraitis added another triple and Trento never threatened in the fourth quarter.

Lietkabelis Panevezys collected its fourth straight home victory as it eased past Dolomiti Energia Trento 74-57 to improve to 6-6 in Group A. Gediminas Orelik led all scorers with 21 points for the winners.
