Hapoel Bank Yahav Jerusalem has signed small forward Justin Smith for the next two seasons. Smith (2.01 meters, 25 years old) arrives from fellow Israeli club Hapoel Holon. He averaged 16.2 points, 6.5 rebounds and 1.3 steals per game in the Israeli League regular season. Smith ranked sixth in the league in PIR with 18.3, seventh in rebounds and ninth in scoring. He raised those numbers to 24.0 points on 69.0% shooting, 7.0 rebounds and 3.5 steals against Jerusalem in the playoff quarterfinals. Smith tallied 15.2 points and 6.5 rebounds in the Basketball Champions League, too.

Smith played college basketball at Indiana University and the University of Arkansas. He began his professional career in the G-League. Smith spent one season with Raptors 905 and another with the Delaware Blue Coats, with which he won the G League championship in 2003. He will now make his EuroCup debut with Jerusalem.

Wolves Twinsbet Vilnius strengthened its roster by signing forward Matas Jogela to a two-year deal, the club announced Wednesday. Jogela (2.01 meters, 25 years old) arrives from Rio Breogan Lugo, where he averaged 7.3 points and 3.9 rebounds in 33 Spanish League games last season.

Born in Klaipeda, Lithuania, Jogela started his career with Sarunas Marciulionio KA. He went to play for Zalgiris Kaunas's second team, Dzukija Alytus and Neptunas Klaipeda. Jogela had a breakthrough 2022-23 season with Neptunas, averaging 13.2 points and 4.9 rebounds in 34 Lithuanian League games. He has also been a member of the Lithuanian national team and helped his country's U18 squad to a silver medal at the 2016 European Championships.

Turk Telekom Ankara has continued its complete revamp of the roster, making guard Olivier Hanlan its ninth signing this summer. Hanlan (1.93 meters, 31 years old) split last season between Varese in Italy and CSKA Moscow in Russia. With Varese, Hanlan averaged 18.7 points, 4.3 assists and 4.0 rebounds in 20 Italian League appearances. He then joined CSKA where he posted 9.0 points on 43.5% three-point shooting to help the team win the VTB United League championship.

Hanlan played his first professional season in 2015-16 with Zalgiris Kaunas, when he made 24 appearances in the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague and averaged 8.0 points, 2.3 rebounds and 1.7 assists.

Since then, he has played for Le Mans in France, Austin in the G-League, Telekom Baskets Bonn in Germany, Ottawa in his native Canada, Iraklis and Aris Thessaloniki in Greece, Valencia Basket in Spain and Gaziantep in Turkey.

The veteran playmaker is now set to make his BKT EuroCup debut.

Wiley (2.08 meter, 25 years old) arrives from Tofas Bursa, where he averaged 15.2 points on 68.3% shooting and a league-best 10.1 rebounds en route to capturing the Turkish League MVP crown. In the Basketball Champions League, he was worth 12.4 points and 8.9 rebounds and named to the all-tournament team.

After playing college basketball at Auburn University, Wiley began his professional career in Germany where he briefly played for MHP Riesen Ludwigsburg and then for Trier. His next stop was Neptunas Kleipeda in 2022-23, where he led the Lithuanian League in rebounding with 8.9 per game. He will now look to leave his mark on the BKT EuroCup with Jerusalem.

Gran Canaria, Pierre Pelos stay together

Dreamland Gran Canaria and big man [Pierre Pelos](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/eurocup/players/pierre-pelos/010452/) have agreed to terms on a deal that will keep them together for a second season. Pelos (2.05 meters, 31 years old) joined Gran Canaria last summer and averaged 6.1 points on 42.9% three-point shooting and 2.9 rebounds in 19 EuroCup games. He also contributed 7.1 points and 4.1 rebounds in the Spanish League. 

This season will be Pelos's fifth in the EuroCup. Prior to joining Gran Canaria, he spent four seasons with Mincidelice JL Bourg en Bresse, including three in the EuroCup. he has career averages of 9.5 points in 44.0% three-point shooting and 4.4 rebounds in 95 games.

Pelos is among the greatest shooters in competitor history. He has made 85 threes at a 44.0% rate, which is 23rd all-time in the EuroCup. Pelos is 18th at career free-throw accuracy (88.0%).

He began his professional career with Valence RGB and later played for Auch, EB Pau-Lacq-Orthez, 
L’union Lourdes-Tarbes Pyrenees Basket, Saint Chamond Basket Valle du Gier and FOS Provence Basket before settling in with Bourg. Gran Canaria is the only team outside of his native France that Pelos has played for.

Veolia Towers Hamburg has announced the signing of forward Keondre Kennedy for the 2024-25 season. Kennedy (1.98 meters, 24 years old) comes off his debut season as a professional, which he spent with Reale Mutua Torino in the Italian second division. He averaged 13.4 points, 3.8 rebounds and 2.7 assists in helping Torino reach the playoffs.

Kennedy played college basketball at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County for three seasons before moving to the University of North Carolina at Greensboro for his final season. He averaged 13.7 points on 40.0% three-point shooting and 6.2 rebounds in 30 games for the “Spartans”.

“Keondre played a very strong rookie year in Italy,” Hamburg head coach Benka Barloschky said of his newest player. “He is a player who already has a lot on both ends of the court. Happ (2.08 meters, 28 years old) made his EuroCup debut with Gran Canaria last season. He started in 16 of his 17 appearances. Happ averaged 9.6 points and 5.9 rebounds. His 2.4 offensive rebounds per game were 11th-most in the competition. Happ also produced 2.1 assists and 1.6 steals, the latter of which was eighth-best in the EuroCup.

Prior to his time with Gran Canaria, the American played a season in Spain with Rio Breogan Lugo. In the 2022-23 campaign, he ranked second in the Spanish League in rebounds (7.9 rpg.) and steals (1.9 spg.).

Happ had a standout college career at the University of Wisconsin, where he averaged 17.3 points, 10.1 rebounds, 4.5 assists and 1.3 blocks in 34 NCAA games in the 2018-19 season, his senior year in college.

Costello played college basketball at Michigan State University and helped lead the Spartans to the 2015 NCAA Final Four. He started his professional career with the Iowa Energy in the G League and also played for the San Antonio Spurs in the NBA as well as the Austin Spurs in the G League.
