Hapoel Shlomo Tel Aviv made its third signing of the day with the announcement that big man Miron Ruina was joining the team. Ruina (2.03 meters, 26 years old) arrives from Hapoel Galil Elyon, where he averaged 5.1 points and 5.9 rebounds in the Israeli League last season. Despite playing less than 20 minutes per game, he was 15th in the league in rebounds.

He has also played for Hapoel Kfar Saba, Elitzur Yavne, Hapoel Eilat and Hapoel Gilboa Galil. Ruina was a member of the Israeli national team that won the silver medal at the 2017 European U20 Championship and a gold at the same event in 2018. He is due to make his EuroCup debut this season with Hapoel Shlomo Tel Aviv.

Besiktas Fibabanka Istanbul added another weapon to its frontline with the signing of [Conor Morgan](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/eurocup/players/conor-morgan/009680/) for the 2024-25 season. Morgan (2.06 meters, 29 years old) arrives from the London Lions, with which he averaged 11.0 points and 4.9 rebounds last season in helping the club reach the BKT EuroCup Semifinals.

This will be Morgan’s second stint in Turkiye after he finished the 2022-23 season with Bahcesehir Kolej Istanbul. Besiktas will be his sixth EuroCup campaign after previous stints with Joventut Badalona, Morabanc Andorra, WKS Slask Wroclaw and London. In the last five consecutive seasons, he has made 81 appearances, averaging 9.3 points and 4.2 rebounds.

A member of the Canadian national team, Morgan played college basketball at the University of British Colombia and began his professional career with the Southland Sharks of New Zealand in the 2017-18 season, after which he joined Joventut.

Magro has spent the last three years at Brescia, helping the Italian team win the first trophy in its history – the Italian Cup in 2022-23. 

"We wanted an ambitious, charismatic, flourishing strategist with solid knowledge and experience to become the head coach of the team. Coach Magro meets all these qualities," Wolves sporting director Donatas Zavackas said. 

"He is a relatively young coach, he learned from top-level mentors such as Luca Banchi, he has worked with both youth and men's teams, and he has European tournament experience. We congratulate the coach on joining the club and we will immediately start work on the preparations for the upcoming season."

The 41-year-old returns to the EuroCup after leading Brescia to an 8-10 regular-season record and a seventh-placed finish in Group A. Magro's side then fell in the eighthfinals to Turk Telekom Ankara, which went on to reach the final.

In 2021-22, his first season at Brescia, Magro was named Coach of the Year in the Italian League after guiding his team to third place. Brescia once again came third in the domestic championship in 2023-24.

Magro started his coaching journey as an assistant at Basket Livorno (2004-05), Viola Reggio Calabria (2005-06) and Mens Sana Siena (2006-14), then got his first head coaching gig at Fulgor Omegna (2014-16), also in Italy. From there, he was an assistant at Brescia (2016-19) and Russian team Lokomotiv Kuban (2019-20) before heading to Polish side MKS Dabrowa Gornicza (2020-21) and Brescia (2021-24).

Foster shot 15 for 32 from deep in the finals. He was fifth in the league in scoring for the season with 17.0 points per game in addition to 3.0 rebounds and 2.9 assists.

In Tel Aviv he reunites with head coach Stefanos Dedas, under whom he played at Hapoel Holon during the 2019-20 season. Foster was second in the Israeli League in scoring that season with 20.2 points per game on 42.3% three-point shooting.

After playing college basketball at Kansas State University and Creighton University, Foster began his professional career in Korea with Wonju DM Promy. After a brief spell in Lebanon with Champville, he played for Holon in Israel, Panathinaikos Athens and Promitheas Patras in Greece, Turk Telekom Ankara in Turikye, Rio Grande Valley Vipers in the G-League and Shandong Heroes in China. He was the top scorer in the Basketball Champions League in 2022-23 with 20.6 points per game.

Wimberg (2.06 meters, 28 years old) arrives from FC Bayern Munich, where he averaged 1.3 points and 1.3 rebounds in 12 Turkish Airlines EuroLeague games last season. He also helped his team win the German double. 

"Niklas has already had an eventful career," said Hamburg head coach Benka Barloschky in a statement. "He has matured over several stages to become the player he is now. He didn't take the easy route; he worked hard for it. He has trained and played at the highest level for the last two years. The move to Hamburg now means a bigger role and maximum responsibility for him. That's exactly what he wants and I trust him to do it."

Bentil (2.04 meters, 29 years old), who has four seasons of Turkish Airlines EuroLeague experience under his belt, spent last season in Japan with the Gunma Crane Thunder where he averaged 17.0 points and 5.5 rebounds per game.

In two seasons with Panathinaikos Athens and another each with EA7 Emporio Armani Milan and Crvena Zvezda Belgrade, Bentil has appeared in 107 EuroLeague games of which he started 40. He averaged 6.0 points on 37.4% three-point shooting and 2.8 rebounds over 15:35 per game. Bentil’s best EuroLeague season came with Zvezda in 2022-23 when he tallied 8.4 points and 3.8 rebounds in 30 games.

Bentil also amassed a slew of trophies with those teams, winning Greek League championships in 2020 and 2021, the Italian League and Cup double in 2022 and the Serbian League and Cup double in 2023.

A native of Ghana, Bentil moved to the United States when he was 15 to play high school basketball and then played college basketball at Providence College. He began his professional career in the G-League with Fort Wayne in the G-League, played briefly for the Xinjiang Flying Tigers in China and then the Dallas Mavericks in the NBA. He then went on to play for Chalons-Reims in France, Bilbao Basket in Spain, Peristeri in Greece and Bahcesehir Koleji in Türkiye.

Mincidelice JL Bourg en Bresse has signed big man Adrian Nelson for the coming season, the club announced on Sunday. Nelson (2.03 meters, 24 years old) arrives from Bamberg in Germany where he averaged 12.8 points and 5.9 rebounds in 34 games in the German League last season. It was his first season as a professional basketball player after playing college basketball at Northern Kentucky University for four seasons and for Youngstown State University for a fifth.  Nelson ranked second in the Horizon League in rebounding with Youngstown State for the 2022-23 season with 9.4 per game.

Turk Telekom adds guard Max Heidegger

Turk Telekom Ankara added experience and firepower by inking playmaker Max Heidegger, the club announced Saturday. 

Heidegger (1.91 meters, 27 years old) arrive from Umana Reyer Venice, where he averaged 12.2 points on 52.4% three-pointers and 2.2 assists in four BKT EuroCup games last season. He started the 2023-24 campaign with Windy city of the G League, averaging 12.9 points and 3.6 assists in 10 games. Heidegger started his professional basketball career with Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv, and also played for another Israeli team, Bnei Hertzeliya, before joining German side EWE Baskets Oldenburg. He also played for Merkezefendi Belediyesi Denizli Basket of Turkiye and Baskonia Vitoria-Gasteiz, where he averaged 8.8 points and 3.6 assists in 17 Spanish League games in the 2022-23 season. Heidegger has also been a member of the Israeli national team.
