Part of the reason why Mincidelice JL Bourg en Bresse was able to come away with a 95-85 overtime win over Prometey Slobozhanske on Tuesday night was thanks to the play of James Palmer, who led the team in PIR (22), points (23), offensive rebounds (3), defensive rebounds (6) and total rebounds (9).
Palmer shined again to keep Bourg top of the standings
This performance is just one of a number of standout displays by Palmer in recent weeks, as he has been on a roll since the two-week gap in the 7DAYS EuroCup calendar, which came after Round 4. Since then, Palmer has finished with 20 points and a PIR of 24 in a loss against Frutti Extra Bursaspor, the team's sole defeat this season, as well as 23 points and a PIR of 28 in an impressive road win at Joventut Badalona. Then, on Tuesday night, he had 23 points and a PIR of 22 at home to Prometey.

In fact, before Round 5, he had not scored above 17 points. What the last few games have shown is that Palmer is determined for Bourg to keep making noise in this year's EuroCup, as it remains the team to beat in Group A with a record of 6-1, good enough for top place in the standings.
