Paris dominates Turk Telekom 96-77 for second home win

Paris Basketball took down Turk Telekom Ankara for the second time this season, winning 96-77 at home in a major tussle at the top of Group B. Paris laid the foundation by scoring 36 points in the second quarter and grabbed just its second home victory for a 7-3 record. Kyle Allman paced seven Paris scorers in double figures with 17 points while Tyrone Wallace had 16, Juhann Begarin 15 and Gauthier Denis a career-high 13. Turk Telekom fell to 7-3 despite Tyrique Jones scoring 17 points. It was the Turkish team’s first road loss of the season.
Aamir Simms scored 5 points as Paris jumped ahead 8-4 early on only to see Erkan Yilmaz match him and put Turk Telekom up 10-14. Jones added 7 points and the guests built a double-digit lead 15-25 before a Tony Taylor triple to make it 17-28 after 10 minutes. Still trailing by 11 points Paris picked up 8 straight points to get within 33-35. Jeremy Evans stepped up with 5 points in a 10-0 run to put Paris ahead 45-40. Allman added 2 triples and Paris led 53-44 at the break.
Turk Telekom worked to get the deficit down to 5 points early in the third quarter only to have Begarin and Allman combine for 11 points in an 17-6 run to lead 77-59. And the score was 80-63 after three quarters. Turk Telekom could not find any rhythm offensively and only cut the gap to 13 points - 81-68 - in the final quarter.
