Prometey Slobozhanske announced the signing of Ukrainian power forward Viacheslav Bobrov, who will return to the EuroCup this season for the first time since 2011. Bobrov (2.03 meters, 31 years old) played for the Ukrainian national team this summer in the Turkey pre-qualification tournament for the Olympic Games and took part in Prometey's training camp during the summer. Now, the club has decided to sign him.

Bobrov was a Ukrainian league champ with Azovmash Mariupol in 2010 and during that era he also made his EuroCup debut with the same team. From 2009 to 2011, Bobrov played a total of 5:15 minutes in five EuroCup appearances as a youngster. He also played for other Ukrainian teams such as Dnipro, BC Kyiv and Budivelnyk. He also played in Romania, France and Spain. Last season, Bobrov played for both Budivelnyk and Orleans of France, where he averaged 9.4 points, 4.1 rebounds and 2.0 assists in 14 appearances in the French second division.
