Ukrainian team Prometey is getting its roster ready for a 7DAYS EuroCup debut in 2022-23 as it announced four new names for the roster on Saturday, all of them members of the Ukrainian national team: Oleksandr Lypovyy, Viacheslav Petrov, Illya Sidorov and Ivan Tkachenko. Three of the four players will be making their EuroCup debuts this season.

Lypovyy (2.03 meters, 30 years old) returns to the team after a strong season in which he averaged 6.0 points, 4.0 rebounds and 2.0 assists in 22 domestic league games. When the Ukrainian League was cancelled midway through the season, Lypovyy joined Telekom Bonn of Germany, where he played 12 games in the German League. Lypovyy's career includes stints at Crvena Zvezda mts Belgrade, Dynamo Kyiv and Promitheas Patras. He has major EuroCup experience, as he played total four seasons in the league with Donetsk, Szolnoki Olaj and Patras for a total 34 games and 192 points.
Big man Petrov (2.04 meters, 27 years old) is also continuing with Prometey, a club he joined in 2020. He played for Khimik from 2014 to 2018 and then joined Kyiv-Basket until 2020. Petrov averaged 7.4 points, 3.8 rebounds and 1.0 steals in the domestic league. He moved to Antibes of the French second division to finish the season.
Sidorov (1.86 meters, 25 years old) was a teammate of Petrov's at Khimik, where he played from 2014 through 2019. That year he joined Prometey where he spent the last three seasons. In 2021-22, Sidorov averaged 9.7 points, 2.6 boards and 3.6 assists in 23 games. He finished the season with Lions Hradec of the Czech League, where he averaged 14.8 points in five games.
Tkachenko (1.97 meters, 25 years old) will make his debut in Prometey after having spent the last eight seasons with Cherkasy Monkeys of Ukraine, making his debut there in 2014. Last season he averaeged 9.5 points, 4.6 rebounds and 1.5 assists in 30 Ukrainian League games. He finished the season in Finland with the Helsinki Seagulls.
