Promitheas Patras nailed 15 three-point shots in overcoming an 11-point third-quarter deficit and beating visiting Gran Canaria 92-82. Promitheas scored the final 16 points of the game to improve to 2-0 in Group B, while Gran Canaria dropped to 1-1.

Joe Young led Promitheas with a club-record 34 points plus 6 assists, while Nikolaos Gkikas netted 7 of his career-high 15 points during the final 16-0 run. Anthony Cowan and Arnoldas Kulboka scored 11 apiece, with Kulboka also pulling down 9 rebounds. Nicolas Brussino had 19 for the visitors, A.J. Slaughter 13, Aleksander Balcerowski 12 and Vitor Benite 11 points in a losing effort.

Promitheas had the better start to the game, knocking down 4 three-pointers, including 2 from Cowen and 1 from Young to open an 18-10 lead. But Bassas sparked Gran Canaria's offense, dishing assists before Brussino made 3 triples and scored 13 second-quarter points to turn things around. Gran Canaria held 40-46 at halftime.
After the break, Gran Canaria soon opened an 11-point lead with Benite hitting 2 and Brussino 1 more three-pointer. But Young kept dropping buckets for Promitheas, melting the deficit and making it 66-67 after 30 minutes. More threes from Brussino and Slaughter kept the visitors in front, and Gran Canaria led 76-82 with 4 minutes to go. But Promitheas did not allow another basket, while Young sparked a 16-0 run where Kulboka tied it at 82-82, while back-to-back threes from Gkikas and Travis Simpson put the hosts in front in the final 2 minutes.
