Round 7 MVP: Cassius Winston, Hapoel Midtown Jerusalem

Cassius Winston put the rest of the BKT EuroCup on notice in Round 7. If you pay too much attention to his Hapoel Midtown Jerusalem backcourt mate and reigning EuroCup MVP Jared Harper, Winston will be ready to burn you.
Winston was the hero as Jerusalem came from behind to defeat Neptunas Klaipeda 110-93. He scored 35 points on excellent shooting to amass a PIR of 37 in just 22 minutes, which was the highest of any player in Round 7 and earned him weekly MVP honors. Winston made 7-of-8 two-pointers, 5-of-8 three-pointers and 6-of-8 free throws. He added 2 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 steal and 1 block and drew 7 fouls.
It marked the third week in a row in which a Jerusalem player was honored; Harper was the MVP of Round 5 and shared MVP honors in Round 6 with Bryce Jones of Aris Thessaloniki Betsson and James Karnik of Neptunas.
Axel Bouteille of Buducnost VOLI Podgorica and his teammate Juwan Morgan each had a PIR of 34 in their team's 71-84 road victory over NINERS Chemnitz. Bouteille scored 26 points by making 6-of-6 two-pointers, 4-of-8 three-pointers and 2-of-2 free throws. He added 9 rebounds, 2 assists and 1 block. Morgan made 4-of-4 two-pointers, 1-of-2 three-pointers and 7-of-8 free throws for 18 points. He also recorded 7 rebounds, 1 assist and 4 steals and drew 9 fouls.
Adam Mokoka of Cosea JL Bourg-en-Bresse, with a PIR of 32, Harper and Conor Morgan of Besiktas GAIN Istanbul, each with a PIR of 27, completed the top individual performers in Round 7.

Cassius Winston of Jerusalem was Round 7's top scorer with 35 points. Fatts Russell of U-BT Cluj-Napoca is the competition's leading scorer with 23.9 points per game.
Dusan Miletic of Cluj led all rebounders by pulling down 12 in his team's 110-86 home win over BAXI Manresa. Zacharie Perrin of Veolia Towers Hamburg leads the overall standings with 9.0 rebounds per night.
Hugo Benitez of Manresa dished 11 assists against Cluj, which were more than any other player in Round 7. Arnas Velicka of Neptunas, who did play in Round 7, remained atop the standings with 9.2 assists per game.
Stefan Djordjevic of Slask Wroclaw and Dogus Ozdemiroglu of Turk Telekom Ankara each collected 5 steals in this round. Ozdemiroglu is also first overall in steals with 2.9 per night.
Balsa Koprivica of Bahcesehir College Istanbul blocked 4 shots in Round 7. Deane Williams of the London Lions ranks first in blocks for the season with 1.33 per game.
Only three players registered a double-double in this round: Miletic (10 points, 12 rebounds), Benitez (13 points, 11 assists) and LJ Thorpe of Hamburg (13 points, 10 assists).
