Slask Wroclaw added plenty of power and experience with the signing of Artsiom Parakhouski for the coming season. Parakhouski (2.11 meters, 34 years old) arrives from Parma of Russia, where he averaged 9.4 points, 7.7 rebounds, 1.1 assists and 1.2 blocks in 11 VTB League games last season. He returns to the EuroCup after one season away. Slask will be the seventh team he represents in the competition.
Slask bulks up with experienced center Parakhouski
Parakhouski has played a total of 62 games across seven seasons in the EuroCup, during which time he has posted averages of 9.4 points, 5.5 rebounds and 1.2 blocks. He made his EuroCup debut with VEF Riga of Latvia in 2010-11. Since then, he has gone on to play in the competition for Hapoel Jerusalem of Israel (2013-14), UNICS Kazan of Russia (2015-16), Rytas Vilnius of Lithuania (2018-19), Partizan NIS Belgrade of Serbia (2019-20) and Andorra of Spain (2020-21). In addition, Parakhouski has experience playing in the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague, having suited up for Nizhny Novgorod of Russia (2014-15), UNICS (2016-17) and Maccabi Tel Aviv of Israel (2017-18). He made 82 appearances in the EuroLeague over those three seasons, recording averages of 10.4 points, 5.1 rebounds and 1.4 blocks. In his career, Parakhouski has also suited up for Eskisehir of Turkey, SIG Strasbourg of France, Tsmoki-Minsk of Belarus and Parma.
