Slask secures services of Polish prospect Tymoteusz Sternicki

Slask Wroclaw has onboarded dynamic Polish teenager Tymoteusz Sternicki, the club confirmed Thursday, completing its domestic core with one of Poland’s most promising young talents.
Sternicki (2.03 meters, 19 years old) arrives from Bears Uniwersytet Gdanski Trefl Sopot, where he averaged 8.8 points and 6.5 rebounds in 24 minutes per game over 11 appearances in the Polish second division last season. He also posted 16.3 points, 6.3 rebounds and 4.3 assists with Energa GAK Gdynia in Poland's third division. Sternicki started the season in the United States at the University of Denver, but appeared in only two games (7.0 ppg., 5.0 rpg.) before returning to Poland for personal reasons.
A product of the Asseco Arka Gdynia youth system, where has been a mainstay on the Polish youth national teams. He averaging 17.6 points, 6.8 rebounds and 4.1 assists during Poland’s gold‑winning campaign at the 2024 U18 European Championship Division B and posted 12.9 points, 5.6 boards, 2.1 assists and 2.0 steals at the recently completed U20 European Championship.
