Teams in the BKT EuroCup are always looking for ways to get better and when possible, they are often thrilled to take players directly from the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague. That happens every season and many of those players prove to be difference makers. Will that be the case this season? Here’s a look at the top EuroLeague to EuroCup moves this offseason.
Top 10 EuroLeague to EuroCup transfers
A two-time EuroCup finalist, Holland comes off his first season in the EuroLeague with Crvena Zvezda Meridianbet Belgrade. His all-around game and defensive tenacity are what Hapoel was looking for to help lift it to the next level and on paper it’s a perfect match.
The 29-year-old Bochoridis guard returns to the EuroCup after a decade away, during which he played parts of six EuroLeague seasons with Panathinaikos Athens. His experience and playmaking should play well with Aris.
Still a teenager, Risacher was on LDLC ASVEL Villeurbanne's roster for each of the last two seasons and even started 10 EuroLeague games in 2022-23. He comes to Bourg seeking more minutes and could emerge as a star thanks to his all-around skills.
Though he has played eight EuroLeague seasons for seven different clubs, Thomas will play in just his second EuroCup campaign. A classic stretch "four", he is an inside-outside threat who should play a big role in Badalona.
Adams's first season in the EuroLeague was cut short by injury, but he still managed to show his scoring chops with a pair of 20-point games for Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv. He should have a greater opportunity to leave his mark with Turk Telekom.
A veteran of six EuroCup seasons, combo-guard Seeley played the second half of last season for FC Bayern Munich. Seeley has the skills to score and create for others and the experience to know how to lift his teammates, which makes him a great fit for Cluj.
Enoch will debut in the EuroCup after spending the past two seasons with Baskonia Vitoria-Gasteiz. His strength and athleticism should make Enoch a force to be reckoned with in the paint.
Alexander's high-flying game should fit perfectly in Tel Aviv alongside last season's EuroCup assists leader J’Covan Brown. After helping Canada to the bronze medal at the Basketball World Cup over the summer, Alexander should be ready to roll.
In three seasons in the EuroLeague with ALBA Berlin, Lammers averaged a block per game. He steps into a big role for the reigning EuroCup champs and should be able to leave his mark on both ends of the floor.
Mathews scored in double figures in more than half of his 31 appearances with LDLC ASVEL Villeurbanne last season, his first in the EuroLeague. Only 25 years old, he could be one of the top scorers in the EuroCup this season.
