Trent Lockett, Trento: 'We’ve kept our playoff hopes alive'

Emanuele Molin, Dolomiti Energia Trento head coach
"Finally, we got a win. I think we played a very good game in the first two quarters, then in the third quarter we were lacking rhythm and had too many turnovers. We were inconsistent defensively, but fortunately we got the win in the end.
"We built the win [by] playing the first two quarters at a high level. In the second half, we lost our timing and rhythm on offense, and we suffered a lot after we also lost our intensity on defense. In the last quarter, when the score was tied, we did well and got a bit lucky with some shots. It’s a good win, and it’s good that the team had a reaction after the loss in Treviso (in the Italian League).”
Vlada Jovanovic, Buducnost VOLI Podgorica head coach
“It was a good reaction in the second half. We played much better, but in the end, we didn’t succeed in overcoming the first-half deficit.
“We’ve had two games in five or six days on the road and I expected something like that. First of all, [we showed a] lack of energy in the first half, when Trent took advantage and opened up a 20-point lead. We had a much better approach in the second half; we found and made open shots, played much tougher defense, with a lot of contact. However, throughout the game we had a huge problem with [Trento’s offensive rebounds] and we didn’t resolve that until the end. Congratulations to Trento, we wish them all the best in the next couple of games.”
Trent Lockett, Dolomiti Energia Trento guard
“Huge win. It’s been a tough season for us in the EuroCup. We got off early and then they tested us, so to come out on top against a tough team like that is special, and we’ve kept our playoff hopes alive.
(On next week’s game versus Hamburg): "It’s kind of like life. Things get tough, but if you keep working you’ll break through, and hopefully tonight will be a break for us in the EuroCup. We’ll have a chance to make the playoffs if we continue to play well."
