Dolomiti Energia Trento strengthened its backcourt by inking point guard DJ Steward to a one-year deal with an option for another season.
Steward (1.85 meters, 23 years old) arrives from the Memphis Hustle of the G League, where he averaged 19.1 points, 4.2 rebounds and 4.8 assists in 29 games last season. He started the 2024-25 campaign with the Windy City Bulls where he posted 19.9 points, 4.7 rebounds and 7.5 assists in 16 games before moving to Memphis.
After playing at Duke University during the 2020-21 season, Steward played for the Stockton Kings for two years and for another G League team, the Maine Celtics, for an additional season. He is set to make his EuroLeague debut with Trento.
