Turk Telekom Ankara has made another addition to its roster after signing veteran point guard Mehmet Yagmur, who returns to the club he played for back in the 2010-11 season. Yagmur (1.88 meters, 35 years old) suited up for Besiktas during the last campaign, averaging 2.6 points, 1.7 rebounds and 1.1 assists in a limited role across 24 Turkish League games. He has previously played two seasons in the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague and four campaigns in the 7DAYS EuroCup. In the EuroLeague, he averaged 2.6 points and 1.0 assists in 25 appearances, with 13 starts. In the EuroCup, Yagmur's overall averages stand at 3.5 points, 1.3 rebounds and 1.8 assists in 47 games, of which four were as a starter.

Yagmur began his professional career with Besiktas in 2008-09 and made his EuroCup debut in that same campaign, averaging 2.2 points and 2.0 assists across six games in 14.0 minutes on the floor. He played for Tofas and Turk Telekom, both of Turkey, over the next two seasons before returning to Besiktas. The 2012-13 campaign saw Yagmur join Olin Edirne of Turkey, recording the highest scoring average of his career (14.0 points per game), but one year later he rejoined Besiktas. Yagmur left Besiktas for a third time in 2014 as he agreed to terms with Darussafaka, where he stayed for the following three seasons and appeared in 23 EuroLeague games in two of those campaigns. In 2017, Yagmur signed for Galatasaray and played 11 games in the EuroCup. His stay lasted for just one year, as he represented Istanbul BSB and ITU BB over the next two seasons. Yagmur then came back to Besiktas for the fourth time in his career in 2020 and remained there until this summer.
