Turk Telekom puts Olivier Hanlan into backcourt
Turk Telekom Ankara has continued its complete revamp of the roster, making guard Olivier Hanlan its ninth signing this summer. Hanlan (1.93 meters, 31 years old) split last season between Varese in Italy and CSKA Moscow in Russia. With Varese, Hanlan averaged 18.7 points, 4.3 assists and 4.0 rebounds in 20 Italian League appearances. He then joined CSKA where he posted 9.0 points on 43.5% three-point shooting to help the team win the VTB United League championship.
Hanlan played his first professional season in 2015-16 with Zalgiris Kaunas, when he made 24 appearances in the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague and averaged 8.0 points, 2.3 rebounds and 1.7 assists.
Since then, he has played for Le Mans in France, Austin in the G-League, Telekom Baskets Bonn in Germany, Ottawa in his native Canada, Iraklis and Aris Thessaloniki in Greece, Valencia Basket in Spain and Gaziantep in Turkey.
The veteran playmaker is now set to make his BKT EuroCup debut.
