U-BT Cluj-Napoca enjoyed its fair share of highlights in its debut campaign in the BKT EuroCup last season. An opening-night test at home
Cluj's season will get underway with a test against last season's runners-up. Last season Cluj was 4-5 at home and beat Cedevita Olimpija Ljubljana by 18 in its home opener. Before that, it led by double figures in the fourth quarter on opening night at Mincidelice JL Bourg en Bresse before faltering. What better way to prove Cluj has what it takes to compete for a spot in the elimination rounds this season than by topping a tough Turk Telekom side in Round 1? Interestingly, Cluj forward Jarell Eddie averaged 16 points and 4.5 three-pointers for Konyaspor against Turk Telekom last season in the Turkish League.
