U-BT Cluj-Napoja has added firepower to its roster by inking shooting guard Adam Mokoka to a one-year deal, the club announced Thursday. Mokoka (1.96 meters, 25 years old) arrives from Umana Reyer Venice, where he averaged 5.1 points and 2.1 rebounds in eight Italian League games last season. He started the 2022-23 campaign with the Oklahoma City Blue in the G League, averaging 12.5 points and 5.1 rebounds in 48 games before joining Reyer in April.

Born in Cergy-Pontoise under the full name of Adam Amani Andrea Mokoka, he started his career with BCN Gravelines Dunkerque Grand Littoral. Mokoka also played for Mega Bemax of Serbia, the Chicago Bulls in the NBA, as well as for the Austin Spurs and the Windy City Bulls in the G League. He helped France win respective gold medals at the 2014 U16 European Championship and the 2016 U18 European Championship. He is set to make his BKT EuroCup debut with Cluj in the upcoming 2023-24 season.
