FC Bayern Munich and point guard Zan Mark Sisko reached a new agreement to keep working together until the end of the 2023-24 season, the club announced Friday. Sisko (1.89 meters, 25 years old) averaged 4.3 points and 2.9 assists in 27 Turkish Airlines EuroLeague games last season, helping his team reach the playoffs and be one victory away from becoming the first-ever German team to reach the Final Four. In three EuroLeague seasons with Bayern, Sisko averages 4.4 points and 3.0 assists in 66 games, starting just 8 of them.

Sisko started his career with Union Olimpija Ljubljana and LTF Castings Skofja Loka of his native Slovenia. He also played for Cibona Zagreb of Croatia, as well as for Irilija Ljubljana and SIXT Primorska Koper of Slovenia before joining Bayern in December 2019. Sisko helped Primorska win the Slovenian double - league and cup titles - in 2019, and lifted the German Cup trophy with Bayern in 2021. He is also a member of the Slovenian national team.
"First of all, I hope that we have a year without as many problems as in the last one with COVID-19 and injuries. I wish that for everyone," Sisko said after the agreement. "Then we will have very good chemistry again and a team that will give their all on the court and fight to the end in every game. We will give everything to get the titles and wins for our club and also for our fans, who are always there for us."
