Daniel Hackett just reached the 300 games played in the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague. Some of his coaches congratulate him and celebrate his career.
Daniel Hackett, Virtus: 'I feel humble'
Virtus Segafredo Bologna guard Daniel Hackett is playing in his 13th Turkish Airlines EuroLeague season and just a few weeks ago he reached a milestone that attests to that longevity - the 300-game mark in the league, an accomplishment that only 20 other players can claim to have reached.
"I feel old, that is the fact," Hackett jokes. "It means that I played a lot of seasons, a lot of years. All these milestones that are slowly coming up make me feel humble about it."
Hackett made his EuroLeague debut in 2012-13 with Montepaschi Siena of Italy under the same coach that is on the sidelines for Virtus at the moment, Luca Banchi. Since then, he has also played in Milan, Piraeus, Bamberg and Moscow to put together a career that includes a EuroLeague crown won in 2019 with CSKA Moscow.
In this video, three of his coaches - Banchi, Ioannis Sfairopoulos and Andrea Trinchieri - congratulate and praise Hackett for his accomplishments, and they all highlight the fact that even at his age, Hackett is somehow still showing the energy and the passion that have turned him into a bona fide EuroLeague legend.
Congratulations, Daniel!
