Barca joins the parade to Belgrade!

FC Barcelona defeated FC Bayern Munich 81-72 at home on Tuesday y to take their best-of-five series 3-2 and set up a semifinal showdown with archrival Real Madrid. The two will square off at Stark Arena on May 19. It will be the fourth El Clásico played in the EuroLeague Semifinals. Barca won the first time, in Paris in 1996, and Real triumphed in London in 2013 and Milan in 2014.
This will be Barca's second straight Final Four appearance and its 16th overall, which is second only to CSKA Moscow's 20. Barca won the EuroLeague in 2003 and 2010. Last season, Barca reached the championship game before falling to Anadolu Efes Istanbul.

Head coach Sarunas Jasikevicius brings back nine players from last season's runner-up squad – Alex Abrines, Nick Calathes, Brandon Davies, Cory Higgins, Kyle Kuric, Sergi Martinez, Nikola Mirotic, Pierre Oriola and Rolands Smits – plus one member of the team that beat them, center Sertac Sanli.
Aside from Sanli, Barcelona features two other former champs on the roster. Higgins, who has been injured since midseason, won the EuroLeague in 2016 and 2019 with CSKA Moscow, while Calathes lifted the trophy in 2011 with Panathinaikos Athens. Jasikevicius also won four titles as a player, with Barcelona, Maccabi Tel Aviv and Panathinaikos. Higgins heads to his sixth Final Four, Abrines, Calathes and Mirotic to their fourth each.
