LDLC ASVEL Villeurbanne had 20 turnovers during its 68-72 road victory against Zalgiris Kaunas in Round 31. Here's what allowed ASVEL to win the game anyway.
Telling numbers: ASVEL's block party

ASVEL's physical display happened to be too much for Zalgiris. Above all, ASVEL blocked 8 shots in this game, tied for second in any Turkish Airlines EuroLeague game this season. ASVEL also has the best mark, getting 10 blocks in Round 15 against Zenit St Petersburg.
At Zalgirio Arena, Victor Wembanyama made the difference with 5 blocks, a new career-high, making him the youngest player ever to reject that many shots in a EuroLeague game. Charles Kahudi, Youssoupha Fall and James Gist each had a block against Zalgiris, rounding out their team's great defensive effort.

Wembanyama forced Zalgiris to take a lot of shots away from the rim, too. The hosts pulled the trigger from downtown 28 times, hitting just 10 of those. Zalgiris's three-point shooting percentage (35.7%) was slightly higher than its season average of 34.9%.
On the other hand, ASVEL buried 6 of 10 three-point shots for a season-high percentage of 60%. Its physicality allowed head coach TJ Parker's team to go to the foul line more often, too. ASVEL hit 14 of 18 free throw attempts (77.8%) and Zalgiris only downed 4 of 7 foul shots (57.1%).
