EuroLeague week on social media
50-POINT REACTIONS: Social media was overflowing with the reactions from EuroLeague players, past and present, after Nigel Hayes-Davis became the first player to score 50 points in a EuroLeague game.
STATEMENT MADE: After dropping 50 points, Hayes-Davis soaked in all the celebrations and then posted an emotional message.
FELT IT COMING: After the game, Hayes-Davis said he messaged his friends he 'was feeling a Dejounte Murray game'. Murray dropped 44 points in an NBA game the night before, but Hayes-Davis made sure to top that. He and his friends posted the messages as proof.
SPECIAL THANKS: In his post-game interviews, Hayes-Davis gave a special thanks to Ilker Ucer, Fenerbahce’s communications and media relations manager, who kept him informed of where the record stood, especially in the final minutes when Hayes-Davis mistakenly thought he had already broken the all-time single game scoring mark.
CHESS MATCH: If you thought basketball players are only competitive on the basketball court – you were wrong. The focus and intensity is real in this photo.
WORTH THE WAIT: Before its game against Barcelona, Bayern teased what games at its new arena will look like.
GREAT TO SEE YOU: Jake Cohen and Kassius Robinson caught up before Maccabi and Valencia squared off, Adam Hanga was welcomed back to Madrid, while Alex Abrines and Nico Laprovittola were happy to see Leandro Bolmaro when they visited Munich.
WINNERS' CORNER: The top seven teams in the standings all won, meaning that Real Madrid is still the only team that has qualified for the playoffs.
