Shane Larkin turned in one of his most efficient offensive performances of the season in leading Anadolu Efes Istanbul to a big 109-86 win over FC Bayern Munich in Round 28. In the process, he made Turkish Airlines EuroLeague history by earning a record-setting 17th MVP of the Round award in his seventh year in the competition.
This is Larkin's third such honor this season, Against Bayern, Larkin netted a game-high 28 points in just over 26 minutes on the floor, making all 3 of his two-point attempts and shooting a season-best 6-of-9 from three-point range, while also making 4-of-5 free throws. He had 3 rebounds, 4 assists and just 1 turnover, accumulating a PIR of 33, the highest of any players in Round 28.
This round's next best PIR, 28, belongs to Keenan Evans of Zalgiris Kaunas. In an 83-76 loss at Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv, Evans had 18 points, 4 rebounds, 4 assists and drew 6 fouls.
