In another thriller at Stark Arena that went down to the final seconds of the game, Partizan Mozzart Bet Belgrade came from behind to beat Anadolu Efes Istanbul 82-79 on Friday night. This win snapped Partizan's five game losing streak and improved it to 5-9, while the two-time defending champ lost its second game in the space of 48 hours to drop to 7-7 on the season.

The visitors had multiple 10-point leads in the third quarter behind red-hot Rodrigue Beaubois, before Dante Exum and Mathias Lessort sparked a rally. Kevin Punter scored a series of important baskets in the second half, especially in the third quarter, before James Nunnally sealed it in the final 16 seconds with a three-pointer and a pair of free throws. Nunnally, Punter and Exum each scored 18 points, with Nunnally also tying his career high with 7 assists. Lessort scored 13 of his 15 points in the second half. For Efes, Beaubois netted a career-high 30 points on 5-for-8 three-point shooting. Ante Zizic came close to a double-double with 20 points and 9 rebounds, and Vasilije Micic finished with 14 points and 6 assists.

Partizan jumped out to a 9-2 lead thanks to the play of Alen Smailagic, but it then went into a shooting slump. Beaubois got it going for Efes, with Zizic also starting to dominate inside. The two fueled a 4-16 run to create a sizeable gap in the second quarter and put Efes in control, 18-26. Punter made some buckets for Partizan to reignite its offense, but Micic's long two at the halftime buzzer gave Efes the advantage, 28-37, at the break. In the third quarter, threes from Beaubois and Will Clyburn helped extend the gap to 12 points, 34-44. Nunnally and Punter started getting looks and making them, but Beaubois's three-point play kept Efes in charge, 40-49. That's when Lessort stepped up, scoring 7 points to help Partizan grab its first lead of the second half, 53-52. Beaubois and Micic kept Efes in front, but with the crowd at Stark Arena carrying Partizan, the hosts went in front for good after Punter, Lessort and Nunnally put together a 7-0 run to make it 70-67. The game went down to the wire, but with Partizan up 75-74, Nunnally nailed a triple with 15.9 seconds to go, helping the hosts preserve the win.
