Real Madrid topped LDLC ASVEL Villeurbanne 92-73 on Thursday in the Spanish capital to go up to 10-5 in the regular season table. Vincent Poirier led the winners with 19 points. Dzanan Musa added 15 while Sergio Llull and Gabriel Deck each scored 10 for Real. Amine Noua had 17 points for ASVEL, which dropped to 6-9 and saw its three-game winning streak come to an end. Alex Tyus had 14, Nando De Colo added 13 and Retin Obasohan 10 for the guests.

Walter Tavares set the tone on defense with a couple of blocks and joined forces with Musa on offense to give Los Blancos a 20-14 lead. Parker Jackson-Cartwright and Antoine Diot brought ASVEL within 25-22 after 10 minutes. Real kept excelling on offense and Sergio Rodriguez's jumper made it a double-digit game, 35-24. Deck had his team's next 10 points, helping Real to a 45-34 margin at halftime.

Musa and Tavares kept pacing Real after the break, getting help from Guerschon Yabusele to boost the hosts' lead to 58-42. ASVEL went on a 0-7 run that Noua capped with a triple and then Zaccharie Risacher drew his team within 70-59 after 30 minutes. Poirier had the opening 8 points, including a wild alley-oop slam, in an 11-0 run that sealed the outcome, 81-59, as ASVEL never recovered.
