In a Wednesday tipoff, Maccabi (18-13) will attempt to continue its push for the top six against a Valencia team (14-17) that's locked in a four-way tie for tenth place.
Game Notes: Maccabi vs. Valencia
Maccabi has won five in a row, mostly recently cruising past Bayern behind 17 points from ex-Valencia forward Jasiel Rivero. The Spanish team is a major underdog after losing five of its last six games. Maccabi has averaged 92 points during its five-game winning streak, so Valencia will need its best defensive game from the likes of backcourt veteran forward Victor Claver and all-action Semi Ojeleye. The Spanish team did exactly that when the teams met in October, winning 75-66 despite nobody scoring more than Damien Inglis's 11 points.
- Maccabi has never lost against Valencia as a home team.
- Valencia's single-game record for free throws made is 12, which Erick Green set against Maccabi on December 7, 2017.
- Jasiel Rivero and James Webb both joined Maccabi from Valencia this summer. Rivero spent two seasons there and Webb one, and both made their respective EuroLeague debuts last season.
- Valencia guard Chris Jones made his EuroLeague debut with Maccabi during the 2020-21 season. He was a teammate there of John DiBartolomeo.
- Maccabi's Lorenzo Brown has been a teammate on the Spanish national team of Jaime Pradila and Xabi Lopez-Arostegui. Together they won the gold medal at EuroBasket 2022.
- Maccabi's John Dibartolomeo made a career-high 5 three-ointers in a 93-94 road win at Valencia in February of last season.
- Valencia's Jared Harper had career-highs in points (20) and PIR (21) in a home loss against Maccabi in February 2023.
- Jones grabbed a career-high 8 rebounds while playing for LDLC ASVEL Villeurbanne against Maccabi in March 2022.
