

Prometey Slobozhanske rallied from a double-digit deficit to beat 7Bet-Lietkabelis Panevezys 72-80 at Cido Arena in Round 10 on Wednesday evening. Prometey improved to 6-4 in the standings and is now on a three-game winning streak. It also swept its season series against Lietkabekis, which dropped to 4-6 in the standings. Despite a slow start, Prometey trailed 24-12 after 10 minutes but ended up sealing the outcome before the final 2 minutes.
Caleb Agada led the winners with 19 points and 9 assists. Gian Clavell also added 19 points, while D.J. Stephens had 14 and Ondrej Balvin got 10. Jamel Mottis scored a team-high 15 points for Lietkabelis. For the hosts, Gyrogy Goloman added 13, Jamal Morris scored 12 and Vytenis Lipkevicius contributed 10. Goloman also had 10 rebounds for a double-double.
Morris and Goloman fueled a 9-0 run that allowed Lietkabelis to get an early 13-4 lead. Lipkevicius, Grantas Vasiliauskas and Mantas Rubstavicius each struck from downtown to boost the hosts' lead to 24-12 after 10 minutes. Stephens followed a triple with a wild alley-oop slam to give Prometey hope at 24-19. Morris hit a jumper, getting help from Lipkevicius and an unstoppable Goloman to restore a 34-25 Lietkabelis lead. Clavell and Stephens brought the guests as close as 34-33 at halftime.
Balvin capped a 0-15 run with a dunk that gave Prometey a 34-39 lead right after the break. Clavell buried a three-pointer and Stephens scored off a spin move to make the hosts call timeout at 38-46. Lietkabelis found a go-to guy in Lipkevicius, who brought his team within 45-48. James Dickey and Clavell kept Prometey ahead, 51-55, after 30 minutes. Stefan Peno banked in a close shot to make Lietkabelis regain a 62-61 lead with 6 minutes left. Clavell and Balvin each finished a three-point play in crunch time, then Dickey scored down low for a 69-75 score in the penultimate minute of the game, which was enough to seal the outcome.
