Cosea JL Bourg-en-Bresse’s preparations ahead of the 2025–26 season have received a serious blow: forward Adrian Nelson is expected to be out for several months due to a knee injury, the club confirmed in a statement on Thursday.
Nelson (1.99 meters, 25 years old) sustained a knee injury that requires further evaluation and likely surgical intervention. Initial medical assessments indicate a recovery timeline of 4 to 8 months, depending on the final recommendations.
A dynamic presence since arriving from Brose Bamberg last summer, Nelson had just recommitted to Bourg with a new contract ahead of next season. He averaged 7.2 points and 4.2 rebounds as a part-time starter in his debut EuroCup campaign.
