Ryan Schmidt, London Lions head coach
"I think we did a better job [in the second half]. We got stops on the defensive end, came down and we did a good job not just getting good shots, but kind of working the shot clock a little bit. And that has kind of been our message in the last few weeks, to get on the offensive end with valid possessions, not turning the ball over. In the third quarter, I think we had 7 turnovers and you start seeing them creep back in the game. Again, we have a lot of weapons on the offensive end, we take care of it, and when we get into our rhythm on the offensive end, I think we are a dangerous team. We are getting closer. I think we are kind of closing the gap during the season. There were too many stretches in which we had 1-2 minutes of good play and 3-4 minutes of not-so-great play. I think we kind of flip-flopped that a little bit but there is still a lot to clean up. And we know that every single night in this competition is going to be a battle, so again, we will take the wins we get, I like where we are right now but we know we have a tough task coming ahead.
"Everything is kind of positive. I think we are happy and going in the right direction- After the window, we came back with renewed focus and cleaned some things up, especially on the offensive end. Again, these guys are doing a really good job at playing together. I think the last two games in this competition we are sharing the ball and defensively, we knew that it was going to be our identity and how we were going to be able to win games, and that has been consistent, and it has been fun to see. But yes, we are excited, playing well, but know that in this competition, every single night is going to be a battle. We have to move on and prepare for the next game."
