Hamburg keeps Zsombor Maronka

Veolia Towers Hamburg announced on Thursday that it signed Zsombor Maronka to a two-year contract.
Maronka (2.08 meters, 22 years old) first joined the club last summer on-loan from Joventut Badalona, but played in only seven games in all competitions due to injury.
Maronka has made a total 16 appearances in the BKT EuroCup, including three with Hamburg last season during which he averaged 8.0 points on 5-for-8 three-point shooting and 3.7 rebounds. The other 13 games in the competition, between 2020 and 2023, Maronka played for Joventut.
"I've loved being part of the Towers family for the past year", Maronka said. "Staying close to the team has been very good for me, but I'm even more excited to be a real part of it again. My personal goal is to stay healthy and play at the highest level, helping the team win in any way I can."
Maronka made his EuroCup debut in 2020-21, playing one game that season, before appearing in eight EuroCup fixtures in 2021-22 and four in 2022-23.
The season before last, Maronka spent on loan at Neptunas in Lithuania. In previous seasons, he also spent time on loan at Spanish clubs Betis Sevilla and CB Prat.
