Hamburg ties up top talent Janne Mueller

Veolia Towers Hamburg have bolstered their young talent pool by signing German teenage talent Janne Mueller to a three‑year contract, the club announced on Wednesday.
Mueller (1.93 meters, 18 years old) joins Hamburg from the Telekom Bonn system. Last season he played for Dragons Rhondorf, where he starred in Germany’s third-tier Pro B league and helped Rhondorf claim the 2024 championship. Internationally, Mueller helped Germany win gold at the 2024 U18 European Championship, and followed up with a silver medal at the 2025 FIBA U19 World Cup.
The guard will operate under a dual-license arrangement, meaning he’ll train with Hamburg’s top squad while receiving extensive game minutes at Hamburg affiliate SC Rist Wedel.
"He has a special talent for scoring. We hope that he will take the next leap in development with us in the next few years," Coach Benka Barloschky said of Mueller.
