Manresa re-signs forward Marcis Steinbergs

BAXI Manresa announced on Friday that it has signed power forward Marcis Steinbergs to a contract extension through the end of the 2026-27 season.
Steinbergs (2.08 meters, 23 years old) averaged 6.8 points and 2.4 rebounds in 33 Spanish League games last season. He had similar numbers in the BCL: 6.7 points and 2.1 rebounds in 12 games. Born in Riga, Latvia, Steinbergs started his career with BK Ogre and moved abroad to join Gran Canaria's youth teams. He made his Spanish League debut with Gran Canaria in the 2020-2021 season and joined Manresa soon after that.
Steinbergs helped Manresa reach the BCL final in 2022 and has been a member of the Latvian national team. He helped Latvia's U16 squad to a silver medal at the 2018 European Championships.
