The veteran guard led the Italian League in steals last season
Reyer Venice snags Denzel Valentine

Umana Reyer Venice bolstered its backcourt for the 2025-26 BKT EuroCup campaign by signing experienced guard Denzel Valentine, the club announced on Thursday.
Valentine (1.96 meters, 31 years old) arrives from Allianz Pallacanestro Trieste, where he made a strong impression in the Italian League last season by averaging 15.3 points, 5.2 rebounds, 3.9 assists, and a league-best 1.4 steals over 29 games.
A product of Michigan State University, Valentine starred in college under Hall of Fame coach Tom Izzo and was named National Player of the Year by several outlets in 2016. He helped lead the Spartans to the NCAA Final Four in 2015. Valentine was selected with the 14th overall pick in the 2016 NBA Draft by the Chicago Bulls and went on to play parts of six seasons in the NBA with Bulls, Cleveland Cavaliers, and Utah Jazz, compiling averages of 7.0 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 1.8 assists across 256 career games.
Last season was Valentine's third in Italy after he joined EA7 Emporio Armani Milan late in the 2023-24 season. His signing came too late to be registred in the EuroLeague. Valentine has also played in Australia for the Sydney Kings.
He has also represented the United States internationally, earning a bronze medal at the 2015 Pan American Games. Valentine becomes the latest addition to a Reyer squad aiming to make a deep EuroCup run.
