Aris Thessaloniki has signed Stelios Poulianitis, the club confirmed on Wednesday, bringing back a familiar face to bolster its rotation.
Poulianitis (1.90 meters, 30 years old) arrives from Peristeri Athens, where he spent the past three seasons. Last season he averaged 4.0 points and 2.8 assists in domestic action and 4.8 points and 2.3 assists in the Basketball Champions League.
A native of Thessaloniki, Poulianitis returns to the club where he began his professional career at age 18 with Aris. He has also played for Koroivos, Trikala, Kymi, Kolossos Rodou and Apollon Patras. This will be his third stint with Aris after starting his career with the club and returning for the 2021-22 campaign. Poulianitis is a second generation pro; his father Vangelis played for Panellinios Athens and Phillipos Thessaloniki.
