Aris Thessaloniki reached an agreement with head coach Ioannis Kastritis to remain together for two more years, until the end of the 2024-25 season, the club announced Thursday. Kastritis, 41, joined Aris in 2021, replacing Savvas Kamperidis. Last season, he helped Aris reach the Greek League playoffs for the second consecutive season after a three-year absence.

It his second stint with Aris; he previously coached the club from December 2018 until the end of the 2018-19 campaign. Kastritis started his coaching career with SEFA Arkadikos of his native Greece and has also coached GS Kymis and Iraklis Thessaloniki of Greece, as well as Hapoel Tel Aviv of Israel. He has also coached the Greek U19 and U20 national squads.
