Aris Thessaloniki added another young and talented piece to its backcourt announcing on Thursday the signing of guard Marcus Carr for the upcoming season. This will be the first professional season for Carr (1.88 meters, 24 years old) who played at the University of Texas the last two years.
Carr posted 15.9 points, 4.1 assists, 3.0 rebounds and 1.6 steals, leading Texas to the Elite Eight phase of the NCAA tournament, and winning the conference title this past spring. Carr played a total of five seasons of college basketball. He played as a freshmen at University of Pittsburgh in 2017-18, before transferring to University of Minnesota where in the 2020-21 campaign he averaged 19.4 points. He is now set to get tested on the professional level and in the BKT EuroCup.
