Mincidelice JL Bourg en Bresse has strengthened its roster by inking forward James Palmer, the club announced on Wednesday. Palmer (1.96 meters, 26 years old) arrives from Arged BM Stal Ostrow Wielkopolski, where he averaged 15.3 points, 4.0 rebounds and 3.4 assists in 33 Polish League games last season en route to helping his team win the Polish League title. He started his professional basketball career with Agua Caliente of the G League, joining Stal in 2021. Before that, Palmer finished his college career at the University of Nebraska, averaging 19.7 points in 36 NCAA games in the 2018-19 campaign.

"We were looking for a player capable of playing the 2 and 3 positions, with a fairly wide offensive range," Bourg head coach Frederic Fauthoux explained to the club's website. "James fits that description, and he had a quality first season in Europe after dominating in the G-League. He is a very talented player with a lot of character."
