Della Valle helped Reggio Emilia win the FIBA EuroChallenge title in 2014 and reach consecutive Italian League finals in 2015 and 2016. He split the 2020-21 season between Gran Canaria of Spain and Buducnost VOLI Podgorica of Montenegro. Della Valle also played in the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague where he spent two years and made a total of 33 appearances with AX Armani Exchange Olimpia Milan. In the 2019-20 season, the latter of his two campaigns in the competition, he posted 5.9 points on 50.0% three-point shooting. Della Valle has been a regular on the Italian national team, too.
