Pallacanestro Brescia bolstered its frontline with the addition of forward Nicola Akele on a two-year deal with an option for one more season, the club announced on Saturday. Akele (2.03 meters, 26 years old) arrives from Treviso Basket where last season he posted 5.5 points and 4.2 rebounds in the Italian League and averaged 7.6 points on 41.7% three-point shooting plus 4.5 rebounds in the Basketball Champions League.

Akele grew up with Umana Reyer Venice, where he made his professional debut in 2014 at the age of 18. After four years at the University of Rhode Island in the NCAA, Akele spent a season apiece with Roseto and Vanoli, before playing the last two years in his hometown of Treviso. He is now set to make his 7DAYS EuroCup debut.
