Germani Brescia has signed Tai Odiase for the upcoming season, the club announced on Thursday. Odiase (2.06 meters, 26 years old) arrives from EWE Baskets Oldenburg, where he averaged 10.0 points, 5.5 rebounds and 1.4 blocks in 30 German League matches last season. He is set to play in the 7DAYS EuroCup for the first time in 2022-23.

Odiase began his professional career with Iberostar Tenerife of Spain in 2018, signing a deal until the end of the 2017-18 season after spending four years playing basketball at the University of Illinois. He then represented GS Lavrio of Greece and Greensboro of the G-League in the 2018-19 and 2019-20 seasons, respectively, before joining BG Goettingen of Germany in 2020. It was during his time at Goettingen that he caught the attention of many inside Germany, recording 13.4 points, 6.4 rebounds and 1.6 blocks in the German League in the 2020-21 campaign. Last summer, he joined Oldenburg and got his first taste of European basketball, playing in the Basketball Champions League.
