Buducnost VOLI Podgorica found its big man, signing a deal with Marvin Jones, the club announced Friday. Jones (2.13 meters, 29 years old) arrives from Hapoel Holon where he averaged 9.7 points and 6.8 rebounds in the Israeli League action last season. He also posted 10.6 points, 6.9 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.3 blocks in 12 Basketball Champions League games last season. Jones has most recently played with Bayamon in Puerto Rico, where he had averages of 7.3 points and 3.7 rebounds.
Jones returns to the BKT EuroCup for the first time since making three appearances with Promitheas Patras in the 2019-20 season, when he averaged 3.3 points and 1.7 rebounds playing 7:19 minutes per game. He will enter the upcoming season perfect from the field for his career, as he has made all 4 two-point shots he attempted in EuroCup action.
Jones started his professional career with Kolossos in Greece in 2017. He later played with Peristeri and PAOK Thessaloniki in Greece, as well. During his career Jones also played for Olimpija Ljubljana and Krka Novo Mesto of Slovenia, Petkimspor in Turkey and Leones de Ponce in Puerto Rico.
